Curious to see who plays who and where, who has the tougher/easier schedules.

If you narrow down to the 5 currently ranked in the top 7:
- UT plays 3 at Home and 3 Away (6 total)
- Auburn plays 2 at Home and 3 Away (5 total)
- Alabama plays 3 at Home and 3 Away (6 total)
- UK plays all 4 at Home and 2 Away (6 total)
- Florida plays only 1 (UT) at Home and all 4 Away (5 total)

Other interesting observations:
- Texas only plays @ 1 of those top 5 teams (Florida), they play the other 4 all at Home; they also have Oklahoma and TAMU at Home, then Missouri and Ark.
- Vandy plays those Top 5 in 7 games (all but Auburn on the Road, and they play UK and UT both places); they also play Okl and TAMU on Road (6 of top 7 SEC teams on Road)
- Georgia plays those Top 5 in 7 games (all but UK on the Road, and they play Auburn and Florida both places)
- no team avoided playing at least 1 of those 5 teams twice

This league is stupid. No way should any sec team be penalized for losing games or back to back games or anything like that. Unless some of the team just arent as good as advertised but I don’t see that being the case. My worry is are a lot of the sec teams gonna be just completely worn down come tournament time and not perform well in the big dance.

We got lucky with the schedule according to this.
Seems like George and Vanderbilt are being *** raped while newcomer Texas has got the easy road.
If I'm athletic directors for Georgia and Vanderbilt I'm bringing this **** up. It ain't right.

Yeah, but it seemed like for the last few years, we got the short end of the stick on the scheduling.

It appeared to me that the SEC was more interested in creating bigtime matchups involving UK on the road than using the algorithm they were supposed to he using.

Now watch, UT and Auburn fans are going to complain that UK has an easier schedule and ignore what happened the last few years.

I think the attrition angle could be a huge factor come tournament time. Just an absolutely brutal gauntlet for every team.

Just please, for the love of God, protect home court. Can't afford to give home games away.

This is it. THIS is the entire ballgame.

This league will be won (and lost) by whoever protects their homecourt the best.

If we can hold-serve at home and go 9-0 at Rupp, we realistically only need to go 4-5 on the road to perhaps win the league (I think 13 wins would win the league outright this year).

Holding-serve at home gives you the tiebreaker over Auburn as well.

Then go and win on the road vs. Mizzou, Vandy, Texas and Georgia (or Ole Miss, Oklahoma, or Miss State) and you win the league.

That is a super-winnable road slate compared to what it COULD have been. We avoid @ Florida, @ Auburn, @ Texas A&M, and @ Arkansas. I'll take that all day.

Yes, this schedule favors us and I hope the cats can take advantage of it.
This kind of advantage is pretty rare.

I think it might take 14-4 to win the SEC outright, but I think more likely is a 13-5 by at least 2 teams. Hopefully we can be one of the teams reaching 13-5. It's do-able, but it will be a challenge.

9-0 in Rupp would be a great 1st step, but certainly no worse than 8-1.
But by playing @ only 3 of the top 6 (UT, Bama, Okl) projected SEC opponents, and playing 3 of the bottom 5 (UGA, Vandy, Texas) projected (& then 3 in the middle, Ole Miss, Missouri, Miss St, "the Miss teams"), I think it is reasonable to think we could win 4 or even 5 of those road games.

We go 13-5 in the SEC, we're a 1 seed, assuming we beat Ohio State and Brown too.

I'd say if we went 8-1 at home, and lost only 3 road games, 4 losses would win the league for sure this year. Just gotta take these games one at a time this season especially so. 5 losses in this league would have to get a share of a title, and a one seed to boot, as incredible as the league is this year.

I don't know why Auburn fans would complain at all. They don't have to play Tennessee, Florida, Oklahoma, Missouri, Mississippi State or Arkansas on the road. Actually, I think they have the easiest schedule of the top teams.

Georgia’s first five games in conference play are:

@ #17 Ole Miss
#4 Kentucky
#14 OU
@ #1 UT
#2 AU

I’m not sure who Georgia pissed off at the SEC offices, but between our football schedule and basketball schedule, we’re getting taken advantage of.
