Essentially nothing changed in our immediate vicinity. We lost but so did Ole Miss and Kentucky.

We are still tied with Kentucky for 8th, so we’d be the 9 seed in Nashville paired with 16 South Carolina.

Tennessee did move to two games ahead of us so our odds of passing them are low. Vandy is within a game behind us but we do have a head to head tiebreaker there. If Texas wins at SC tonight they’ll remain tied with Vandy and a game behind us.

We likely remain a game behind OM after this midweek. We are at Bama but they are at Auburn. UK is at Oklahoma on Wednesday night and I’m legitimately curious on that one. UK is still short handed, will not be totally shocked if OU finds a way to win that. Vandy is at A&M and Texas is at Arkansas on Wednesday, we’ll see on those games.

We actually went up a spot in Lunardis S-curve. We were 20th (last 5 seed) now we are 19th.

need to finish 3-1 for a top 4 seed.

Finishing 9th just seems like a disappointment

1,000 foot view, I get that. But in a year where the SEC has 9 ranked teams and is going to get as many as 12 or 13 in the tourney…. I mean somebody good is gonna gave to play on Wednesday in the SECT.

ETA: Tennessee is number 6 in the AP poll and currently tied for 5th in the SEC, to further illustrate that point.

Texas is getting boat raced by SC. Bad loss for their NCAAT hopes but they’ll also remain two games behind us.

Its the same as the 2010 football team. Finished 5th in the SEC West (not even the whole SEC, just the West), and also finished 15th in the country.

Brackets are going to have 13 SEC teams in after today. 4 of those are still iffy but yeah. It’s an insanely strong league. There is a good chance that the 12 vs 13 and 11 vs 14 games in Nashville have a lot of NCAAT relevance. In previous years those weren’t even NIT teams.
