We also had one of the more difficult paths to Omaha. After all the talk of our favorable draw, only NC State and Stanford beat a higher seeded team than we did on the path to Omaha.
Tennessee and Texas had the easiest path. Tennessee didn’t play anyone higher than a 3-seed. The best team Texas played was 2-seed Arizona State.
This doesn’t always predict success in Omaha, but I love the underdog role on our side of the bracket knowing we have played the most difficult schedule.
