With the addition of OU and UT how are they going to fit all the games on TV especially when there are alot of non conference games. I’m guessing alot more games over lapping on other channels.

That’s been my concern honestly.

If you look back at 2020 when every week was an All-SEC schedule, we had multiple conference games that were ESPN+ only. I believe the Arkansas and Mizzou games fit that bill.

Probably see more of that in the future. Especially nonconference games.

ESPN has lost their Big 10 games so will add SEC games. Probably cut back a bit on ACC games too. Between ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNU. & SECN, that’s potentially 15 time slots on Saturday. I think there’s an ESPNNews too, so maybe 18 slots.

Will games no longer being on CBS make things worse or easier for ESPN since they won’t have to work around/wait onthem

Much easier. Only 2 SEC games in the afternoon slot with CBS. Now ESPN can show 4-5 SEC games in that slot.

Every single sec football and basketball conference game was guaranteed to be on network tv.
You will not see an in conference game only on espn+.
It’s in the contract , which was a major selling point for Texas and Oklahoma

Anyone remember the year 5 of our games were on ESPNU? 2011 I think. I had a carrier that didn't carry the U.
