Ok, so now that every game has concluded except Georgia at Kentucky (let's face it, Kentucky won't break a sweat in that one... even so, it won't affect too much) and UT just beat LSU.... let's begin by looking at the remaining schedule:<div>
</div><div>USCe@Georgia</div><div>LSU@Auburn</div><div>Alabama@OM</div><div>Vandy@Tennessee</div><div>Arkansas@MSU</div><div>UK@UF</div><div>
</div><div>Now, let's look at the standings as they are now (I will go ahead and include UK winning over UGA)</div><div>
</div><div>1. Kentucky (14-0)- Expect them to win their last 2, going to 16-0. No question they have the 1 seed.</div><div>2. UF (10-5)- Will probably lose to Kentucky. No one has been able to stop them. They will fall to 10-6 and fall to the 3 seed.</div><div>3. Vandy (10-5)- I expect Vandy to beat Tennessee in Nashville on Sr. day. They will extend to 11-5 and secure the 2 seed.</div><div>4. Alabama (9-6)- Will struggle, but I expect them to beat OM and extend their lead to 10-6. UF holds the tiebreaker.</div><div>5. Tennessee (9-6)- Will probably lose to Vandy in Nashville. Will fall to 9-7 and will secure the 5 seed. </div><div>6. Mississippi State (7-8)- Holds the tiebreaker over OM and LSU. Will probably beat Arkansas to finish the season. Will extend to 8-8 and will secure the 6 seed.</div><div>7. LSU (7-8)- I expect them to beat Auburn, but this game will be a toss-up. I expect them to finish 8-8.</div><div>8. OM (7-8)- I think they will fall to Alabama, finish 7-9, will secure the 8 seed.</div><div>9. Arkansas (6-9)- I expect them to fall to State on Saturday. Too many struggles on the road. Will fall to 6-10. Will be the 9 seed.</div><div>10. Georgia (4-10)- will lose tomorrow to UK, but will win against USCe. will be at 5-11 and will secure the 10 seed. </div><div>11. Auburn (4-11)- Will probably lose at LSU. Expect them to fall to 4-12 and take the 11 seed.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span></div><div>12. South Carolina (2-13)- has locked up the 12 seed. Will lose their last game.</div><div>
</div><div>So... now that we have predictions of standings, let's look ahead to the SECT matchups next week. </div><div>
</div><div>Game 1 (8 v. 9)- OM vs. Arkansas. Winner advances to play the 1 seed on Saturday, which is Kentucky.</div><div>Game 2 (5 v. 12)- Tennessee vs. South Carolina. Winner advances to play the 4 seed, Alabama.</div><div>Game 3 (7 v. 10)- LSU vs. Georgia. Winner advances to play the 2 seed, which I expect will be Vanderbilt.</div><div>Game 4 (6 v. 11)- Mississippi State vs. Auburn (rematch of the ages). Winner advances to play the 3 seed, probably Florida.</div><div>
</div><div>These are all predictions, but I imagine this is what the bracket will look like. </div>

fueling them. The game (unfortunately) will probably boil down to our ability to hit the 3 and not turn the ball over (another option is feed our big guys inside, but I have yet to see that this year). <div>
</div><div>Their offense is fueled by 3 things: A home crowd, turnovers, and long rebounds. Force them into half court sets, they will struggle... give them fast break and transition opportunities, you are probably right... they will wear us out. We will just need to slow the game down and manage our tempo, while not playing into their traps and their ability to overplay. I still say we win this one.</div>

and hit their 3's because EVERY TEAM we play hits their 3's. We have got to do a much better job of stopping the penetration and can't allow easy point blank shots. And you are right, we need to pound it inside and make Sid and Moultrie punish them. We don't need to be jacking up 3's and letting them run out on the long rebounds. And the main key factor is who will be at the Hump officiating the game? I hope Teddy Valentine's show boating *** stays away and the former Atlanta Brave too. We need to finally get a little home advantage with the officials. If they allow the UPig players to play as physical as they did in Bud Walton, we will have a very hard time getting good shots and not having a ton of turnovers.

All that being said, I say we pay them back pretty good on Saturday and Dee and Bryan go out on senior day a winner! 21-10 going into the SEC tourney, getting a chance to beat Auburn for number 22.

Make up for lost time. Don't care who we play on Saturday, so long as we're still there.<div>
</div><div>I live in New Orleans, so I'm probably gonna get overly optimistic if we handle Arkansas on Saturday.</div>

They barely beat Auburn without two of their better guards. Also, won't those same guards at Auburn who had 16 points and 12 assists against us probably not play us in the first round of the SEC tourney. I say we beat Arkansas but at this point it won't matter if it is by five or by two. Besides, just because you play ten people doesn't mean anything if they suck. They aren't quality ten deep which is why they are 1-12 on the road. I say they don't get away with the karate style defense, we get them in foul trouble down low, and they brick some big time shots. We win and secure the sixth seed. With Barbey continuing to hold those two guards out at Auburn, we could hit a nice streak to get a 11 or 10 seed in the NCAA tourney. Like I said, we have two more games to go before we even hit a top 50 RPI team. Time for Stans to work some magic...LOL!

We need Tenn to beat Vandy. If that happens Florida drops to the 4. I don't want to play Vandy (assuming we win thursday). Also, I will be pulling for Auburn this weekend, because I do not want to play them again. They match up well against us. Much rather play Georgia.

Personally I think Tenn beats Vandy up pretty good this weekend. Vandy is nothing special on the road. They are good for halftime lead, but that is about it.

We will be freaking exhausted in the 2nd half...should be interesting

We not only handled their press, we scored against it at will. They shot lights out in Fayettevilleand we played poor defense but the truth of the matter is, they are and have been a counterfeit road team and we beat them a lot worst than the final score. Of course, we can't coach so your prediction should have worked, but we looked pretty doggone well coached today and a hell of a lot better coached than Bama and LSU did. I predicted we would end up 10-6 in the league. We lost two games we should not have but we aren't alone in that department regardless of how you and your clones try make us look. We are in the dance, forget it and move on to getting your BS prepared for next season.
