Sorry I'm sure this is Germans but wtf is up with this double elimination but not really double elimination if you win your first 3 games ********?!!? The SEC baseball tournament is dysfunctional and doesn't really benefit the winner anyways with regards to the NCAA tourney. After getting eliminated today with the same amount of losses as Vandy I have now decided this tournament is worthless and would much rather have the extra games either be vs another SEC opponent we didn't play in the regular season or extra OOC games. This tournament is garbage.

Did you post the same thing when we beat UK last year in the same fashion? It is what it is. The best way to save the pitching staffs for next weekend.

I agree, this tournament is garbage.

But we did benefit last year. It is what it is.

I'd like to see us go to an 8-team, pod play like the ACC and C-USA. Would have been fun to play Florida, South Carolina and Vandy this weekend while LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Alabama hung out on the other side.

I agree with you. I was fussing about the same thing earlier. It is crap that Vandy didn't have to beat us twice. If I'm not mistaken, we were the only undefeated team in the SEC Tournament. For them to go from Single, to Double, and then back to single elim is garbage. That is not a tournament. That is a cluster 17

While not perfect this format is better than the pod bracket. For instance USM is playing what is a meaningless game tonight as win or lose they are in championship game.

The format isn't perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than someone playing 7 games in 6 days right before a regional. Which is what we would have lhad to do last year (assuming we beat UK again in the 2nd game). And you're just now deciding the SECT is worthless? Where have you been ever since it began? It's ALWAYS been worthless unless someone can sneak in an NCAA bid by winning it.
