by Mr. College Football. Heard this today on Baton Rouge sports talk radio. Local sports guy was distraught at the fact that Jefferson was last behind MSU, UM, and AU.Some good and questionable points..

Masoli will not be as good of an SEC quarterback as Cam Newton, plus Newton was there all spring.

Appears to be Bo McNally. Led Stanford in tackles for three straight years and was on the Ronnie Lott watch list this past year.

there is no way you can rank a guy who hasn't proven anything at the D1 level above a guy that led his team to the top of the Pac 10 and a Rose Bowl last year.

has just enough credibility to get his facts wrong. I'm sorry but when you can't even get basic facts right you have zero credibility IMO.

"Relf deserved the job coming out of spring practice because of the way he played at the end of last season, when he had 131 yards rushing in a big 41-24 win over Ole Miss."

It's probably, as of today, the third strongest conference in the country behind the SEC and Big 12.

It's bugged me for years listening to people in the Southeast pretend the Pac-10 is a joke league, primarily because they don't see enough of it.

Oregon was probably the best team, and they got the crap beat out of them by Boise. It wasn't luck, or Oregon being unprepared, or superior game planning- they got physically abused for four quarters. Boise wins that game 10 out of 10 times. And that was the only good team Oregon played. They lost to Ohio State, who despite beating up on crappy teams was not a good team last year.
Oregon was the best team in the conference, and miserably failed both of their big non-conference tests.

Oregon in the 1st game of the year wasn't nearly the same team as they were by the end of the year.. Boise maybe beats them half of the time.. maybe.. for as much "domination" as Boise showed and as poorly as Oregon played, they won by 11 points.

over the last 5 years, the Big 12 has been stronger than the Pac 10.
