Second-half thread for NU-Illinois

Wow this was awful. To be honest I don't watch much NU BB and maybe I should stop because I started watching now that they're making a push for the tourney, and the last 2 games they have looked just awful, no different than any other year I've watched in the last 20.
We're missing our leading scorer....don't you think it would have been a different game with him in there?
I'm sure some of the teams we beat wish they didn't have injuries. It happens. Poor effort tonight, no excuses.
I gotta admit, they were pretty creative about getting my hopes up this season, only to dash them yet again
Beat Maryland, Michigan and Illinois away and all is forgotten. Need Lindsey and someone to help Mac outside. Maybe Law?

I'm not really making an excuse, but instead responding to the statement that we're "choking away the season". We're a much better team with Lindsey on the floor, and he's supposed to be back soon. The season is not over.
We missed Lindsay! Our best shooter! Brown is too small. He is no Mac! Mac is a great player but was exhausted down the stretch
Without Mac's second half, we likely get blown out. Not fair to criticize Mac. This league is so tough and we were undermanned. We need Scotty back to get the team going in full gear.
I want to have a year were we do not have 2 people out before the season starts. It would be nice if the basketball gods smiled on us once in a while
Mac was the only one out there who could take the ball to the basket. Law was inconsistent, Brown was out of control, Skelley was throwing up bricks, and Pardon had absolutely no post game against the bigger defender. The offense is much slower and more limited with Lindsey out.
Yeah, why weren't we all over him. He (and Coleman-Lands) is deadly from 3!!! Know who your shooters are and cover them!
