Did anyone notice the blurb in the Sunday Clarion Ledger from our Secretary of State, reminding us that agents who wish to represent athletes in Mississippi must register with his office, and then stated that he can neither confirm or deny whether an investigation is ongoing?

This sounds like code for his office is now investigating the Cam Newton Paygate scandal. That brings a whole new level of power to the investigation (subpoenas, having folks testify under oath). Could turn the knob up a notch.

Now we're talking subpoena power - something the NCAA does not have. This could really bust this thang wide open.

on the secretary of states' websites for IL, AL & MS. According to the CL the company operates football camps in these states. The company is registered in IL but not in AL or MS.
