A few things to keep in mind about NIT seeds:<div>1) The team with the higher seed hosts.</div><div>2) The NCAA's goal is to maximize ticket revenue.</div><div>
</div><div>I don't know if teams bid to host NIT home games anymore, but in any case, the teams are seeded based on how many butts the NCAA expects to see in seats. Not based on how good the teams are.</div><div>
</div><div>When you analyze the NIT bracket like this, the seeds make a lot more sense. In fact, I'm surprised we got even one home game, considering how depressed our fan base is right now.</div>

Maybe we can win a couple then. Won't matter if we win it all this board will still say we suck. I will be interested in the paid attendance.

I don't know if the NIT has some sort of say in ticket prices, but I can't believe they expect anyone outside of a twenty mile radius to pay that for a Tuesday night NIT game after a season like the one we've had. I expect a crowd of about 1500. Students are gone, and seriously, who wants to make that drive on a Tuesday night to watch an NIT game. I wish we were playing at UMass. This is going to look bad.<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none"></div>

What will be interesting is to see the fans support. OM will probably be a sell out with lots of positive energy wherin I expect our place to be empty with little to no energy.

I highly doubt Stans will do the right thing and let the players that have supported him and the dysfunction that they have had to endure over the past 4 - 5 years start and play the majority of the game.
