1) where the hell do we get starting pitching from?
2) how is lindgren after the pitch to his knee?
3) what the 17 is our lineup? 19 games in and don't have a set lineup
4) was the past two games (pitchong & defense) a rare instance, or was the result of actually playing a decent team?
5) what's up with rea?

I'm sure Lindgren will be fine by next week...which will go a long way in settling our staff down.

Rea being out is a big part of our line-up. Porter is off to a slow start. We have to hit the ball and play better defense.

We played a good baseball team this weekend. We will be ok.

Sounds a lot like our football team. Start off great, and then when tough competition comes, we fold.

Seriously?

Havent the last 2 years of doubting Cohen made you people look stupid enough? We are one of the SEC's top 5 teams. We will be fine.

This team isMUCH more competitive than the football team.

We lost focus as a team. We didn't pitch, hit, or field anywhere near what we're capable of. Win 3 out 4 next week and we'll all feel much better.

I was at the game today- pretty sure I saw Lindgren before the game in shorts getting something to eat. Could be wrong, but with that hair I'm pretty sure.

Looked fine. I'm sure he'll be okay.

Keep in mind that the sport is baseball

We aren't going to go undefeated, nor are we going to lose them all. It's the way the game works. There has been no evidence that we've "folded".

The biggest concern so far is Woodruff. It appears that he has regressed after two pretty good outings to start the season. Hopefully it is mechanics and we can get that figured out. CT is slumping and Rea is not playing, creating two big holes at the top of the lineup. Hopefully we can get Rea back, get Pirtle hitting the ball more consistently, and put Detz at DH.

My pleasant surprises so far have been,
1. Detz- we weren't planning on his bat being in the lineup.
2. Gentry- this kid is going to be good. True freshman that throws from the side with alot of movement and good curveball.

Disappointments include,
1.Woodruff
2. Mitchell. Actually, I have never expected much from him. He has great stuff, but either doesn't have it mentally or just doesn't have command of his pitches.

Exactly.. Then again, if we play our B+ game instead if D+ we probably win both games. Again, win 3 out of 4 next week and its no harm done.

It does put some pressure on next week though, IMO.

Was this also his response for pinch hitting for Norris yesterday?

He said the game beat us. Which is basically "that's baseball".

Did he provide any insight into his over thinking and sub sequential decision making as opposed to going with the hot hand? To me, having a feel for your players (mentally and physically) on a daily basis and knowing how they are producing/responding during a game is as much, if not more important than playing the percentages of the game.

I can't think of any percentages where PH Robson for Norris is called for. Or ****ing Frazier and Slauter in the 2nd and 3rd. He never gets asked about **** like that so you will never get in answer.
