Im sorry. The angle on the endzone looks stupid. Architects getting cute. Who thought "yeah, that looks good" unless it was a logistics reason.

Let's have the new fancy end zone completely offset with the rest of the stadium.

Why not just move the street. It is rare to be able to drive next to any footballl stadium. In fact, ours is the closest sec stadium I can think of. Vandys south end zone but it is a short road

As I said then, "we should just move the f*cking street".

gotta agree with this one. now that the base is in place, the excuse that it wouldnt fit right is bogus...at least from a lower bowl standpoint...so that doesnt really fly. at the same time, i think it creates kind of a cool plaza area where the gate between the ez and west side will be. its going to be really interesting to see what happens in the future with the south ez (whenever that happens) to see if it mirrors the north ez. again, i blame obama.

It looks dumb. Plain and simple. No way to church that up or make excuses. Make it linear and curve the road slightly on the ne end zone area.
Dont make us look aerial stupid for 100 years.

Wait, too late....

Im pretty sure there is an architecture school about 50 feet from that end zone

Also, if they are so worried about the street, why not leave the nez as is and demolish the seal building and extend there. Makes much more sense.

Donahue Drive is a main artery in Auburn and runs right down the west side of J-H. You can almost reach out of your window and touch it in the southwest corner.

I don't know about you but I'm not a bird nor do I take my private jet to Starkville very often so the biggest thing will be how it looks from eye level.

Brian Dennehy Stadium is very close to the road on 3 sides...

Alright I've stared at this picture long enough and I'm still not exactly sure wtf you're talking about? Help the architecturally handicapped please.

The endzone aligns with the stadium...

You don't have to turn a corner to kick a field goal. Look at the final renderings, the wing that runs parallel to the street will be meeting spaces, suites, and rooms, etc... they'll function more than just 6-7 Saturdays a year.

Also UGA's stadium hangs out of the road on the South-East end. and their north end has a non elliptical walking path. So we won't be the only ones looking stupid I guess.

Looks fine from that angle. The point is, why is it angled.

Nobody is bitching about us having a nice new end zone and improving our stadium. The question is....why is it slanted?

A high rise casts a shadow on the non-bowled-in endzone at Sanford Stadium.

And it doesn't bother me one bit that we used up every square inch on real estate on the existing lot. But feel free to get mad about it.

Wait long enough and it will become a classic look like Fenway Park.

Architecture isn't all about symmetry. It will look good from the outside.

going to make watching the game from a balloon at 2000' freaking miserable!!1

Balloon? How's this sumbitch gonna look from the International Space Station? Why doesn't anyone ever think about these things before we commit to building off-kilter stadiums?

This is serious ****, y'all. We need to tear it down. NOW.

The final pic shows that there will be no roads in the future by the stadium.
So they slanted the end zone on purpose. I think it looks dumb. Im not saying it wont look nice but I work with architects all the time and theyre always trying dumb **** like this.

I just cant imagine being in the meeting and saying "yep, let's do it that way". Someone has to know why we did it this way.

I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. I certainly don't think it's anything worth getting mad about.
