This board has done a good job of reporting the opinions of most of the so-called experts out there who think they have insight as to which teams will be selected to the dance. Many of them have said that you all will make it, while OM will sit at home. Some have said that neither team will get an invite. Very few, maybe one, said that we will get the call but you all won't. I don't know of anyone that thinks both teams will make it.

So, what do you think?

tcreb, I realize you're the one who voted that OM gets in and State doesn't, basically because you're a homer, but shirley you don't even believe that.

Their profile is simply not strong enough. 1-7 vs the rpi top 50 with the one win being over Bama at home. 6-12 vs the rpi top 100. That simply is not good enough when you have a mediocre rpi (61), a mediocre record (20-13), and only went 8-8 in conference play.

I'd take Ole Miss over Drexel. All we hear about is Drexel's mighty 19 game win streak. RPI in order of wins, 311, 39(VCU), 82(George Mason), 213, 263, 172, 299, 141, 152, 172, 311, 261, 263, 299, 86(Cleveland St) 261, 101(Old Dominion), 213, 101(OD again). Now tell me how the hell does that mean crap? If you beat the 17 out of 7 years old girls do you get a shot at the heavyweight title? If Drexel is taken over State I'll boycott the tournament, not saying we deserve to be in but if they get in we sure as hell should.

They did NOTHING in the non conference. I look at Iona's profile compared to Drexel and see that Iona has a better record vs the top 100, a better record in away/neutral games, a better rpi, a better SOS, a better non conference rpi. About the only thing Drexel has on them is that Iona has a couple bad losses and Drexel has a slightly better overall record. Doesn't make sense to me that Drexel would get in but Iona doesn't.
