I don't know what's more sad, an "I'm surprised you have the internet joke" to an alum of the school that invented the computer or acting like people are jealous of you because you cheer for a successful team. Edit: Also, are you really holding up being an Iowa State alum as some kind of mark of intellectual distinction? Don't get me wrong, I know the Cyclones put out just as many talented graduates as does most state schools. But it's fair to say that many grads form there aren't destined for academic or professional acclaim (whatever that is).

I've already let you know I'm not an alumni so is that all you got. You still didn't answer the question about where you are an alumni of. Come on out with it. don't go fibbing now. As far as OFC goes I can't believe an alumni of Iowa State cannot figure that out. OFC
So then what's the big deal with a person being a Duke fan even though they aren't alumni. I was a Duke fan 10 years before I could even consider going to Duke and would never have got in anyway. Are you saying the only fans Iowa State has are alumni or are you saying that only Duke alumni should be Duke fans? Your alumni statement makes no sense and good for you you don't care for UNC. I would like to know why you dislike UNC. Did you dislike them before he recruited Harrison Barnes? If so if Harrison Barnes had chosen Duke would you feel the same about Duke and Coach K? Like dukiejay said posters from other teams are welcome here a long as you want to discuss basketball in a rational way. We're not certain Duke and Iowa State will even play so it's strange that all of a sudden we've had some Iowa State fans posting here. I don't know how many if any Duke fans have posted on Iowa State's message board. Personally I have no desire to post there. If anyone, like myself, was raised a Duke fan (my whole family was for Duke) and therefore had to deal with the majority of elementary, middle, and high school students being UNC fans, then in my book you are a Duke fan. It starts long before you even think about where you would go to college.

ISU had a different coach when Harrison 'Skyped" his lame commitment to 'ol Roy---a cheat'n *** while he was head coach @ Kansas also (you're evidently too young to remember)
Lets see. ACC this year? Duke and Louisville had rapists on their teams, correct? UNC and their academic FRAUD the last 20 years (When is Deputy Dawg Williams going to get suspended??) Syracuse? LMAO
The list goes on and on. I'll cheer for Notre Dame, the only upper level ACC team that is clean

I hate the alumni argument. I was 11 years old when I first saw David Thompson play at NC State, and I was hooked. The Pack had some pretty good years through the 80's. Been kind of tough since, but , though not an alum, I am still wolfpack for life. Most sports fans root for teams they picked as children because their dad did or a peer they really looked up to. A very low percentage of folks are going to graduate from Duke. It would be tough to have the following you guys have if only folks who attended Duke were allowed.
Bumblebee, seriously, I would be concerned about your life. You're on a Duke board talking about a secondary program like ISU.
