It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. Couple of big games this week.
Heritage vs Glass don't know how much we learn because strange things tend to happen in that game.
LCA vs Amherst nobody knows anything about LCA this year and Amherst tends to play them close.
Rustburg vs Brookville how good is brookville?
JF vs Liberty Liberty is getting better each week and I think they will upset someone in the district this year just hope its not this week.

From the three Seminole teams I've seen (LCA Brookville, and Heritage)
I would have to say the top teer team would be Heritage and (I hate to say) LCA.
Now I can't speak of JF or Glass but,...
Appomattox got handled by LCA, had a chance to beat Brookville, beat Rustburg, and got destroyed by Heritage.

I have only seen JF and I have seen all 3 games and their 2 scrimmage games. Maybe there opponents have been weak but they have been very dominant. I only recall them being forced to punt one time and they threw one interception and fumbled once every other drive has resulted in a td.
They also have only been scored on twice and one of those was a short drive after a fumble. 1 play 25 yard pass.
PH(controlled scrimmage) 3tds to 0
Powhatan(special teams were not live) played a half 34-0
Gretna final 43-0 but that was also half time score
SR final 40-7 halftime 27-7
Mount Airy final 42-7 halftime 28-7
So I guess we will find out if they are real when they play lca next week.

Curious as to what you've seen to say LCA will be top dog over teams like JF, Heritage, and Glass who all have quality wins
It was more of a figure of speech than anything. LCA having played only one game against an out of state opponent and losing badly doesn't give anyone much to go on. The program's reputation, players returning, coaching staff plus the fact that they are a defending state champion has to carry weight. If they slip a little this year they will still be good.
I have seen four teams (Heritage, Glass JF and Amherst) and after seeing them I'm led me to believe that once again LCA will not only be the team to beat in the Seminole, but they will also compete in 3A. I do believe JF is strong. I'm not going to say they have played murderer's row but they have dominated. Next week's game with LCA will go a long way in deciding the top spot in the district. Heritage beat a traditionally solid Appomattox team but they should have. Appomattox is a 2A school and maybe a little down this year. Glass has played a tough schedule and lost a couple of close ones but their quality win was over an 0-3 Salem team who is likely to be 0-4 after playing Dinwiddie this week.
Put it all together and many will come to the same conclusion.

Bees are much improved this year we have as much offensive firepower as anyone in the Seminole. Logan Thomas's boys are worth the price of admission by themselves. Defense has played much better the last couple games. Still not sure if their ready to compete with the top Seminole teams yet, time will tell.

Sure will DP. I've actually known Logan since he was a kid and also had the privilege to coach him in youth league football (telling my age here lol). Led the Bees in high school to district and regional titles as well as a state championship game appearance in 2008 as our QB. Went on to star at VT at QB but if I remember he sat under Tyrod Taylor as a freshman. Went on to the NFL to play for the Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions where they moved him to TE. He was then traded to my beloved Washington Redskins where he had a few great years catching passes at TE. Finished his career up with a short sting with the 49ers. I'll always believe that devastating knee injury he suffered while in Washington cut his career short. Really glad to have him back home coaching here at Brookville.

Bee, I had to laugh at “showing your age”. I had just read something off of twitter out loud to my wife.
“If you ever ordered a pizza from an add in the Yellow Pages, you might be old.” Heck, I can remember when there were no Pizza restaurants in Petersburg where I grew up. My wife said most people probably don’t even know what the Yellow Pages were.
Another age related quark. The company I own started in 1937. I’ve got an electrical panel trim with the sticker from the original owner of the company that says: For Electrical Service, Call 238.

I think until beaten LCA has to be the frontrunner but I think its a lot closer than years past. I think the top 3 could all split with each other LCA Heritage and JF then the next teir Glass, Amherst, and Brookville could go any order between the 3 and then Rustburg and Liberty fighting it out for the last two spots.
