Serious Question: Can we get some JumboTron feedback?

It wasn't too bad tonight with the ads. Some seemed to have even been shortened. But they still have the Bullock Toyota ad with the same redneck salesgal. And they still have the idiotic Ford ad. And they still have "Mercedes Benz" but it was shortened too.

An improvement overall, but certainly far from perfect.

They did that on at least one other media timeout ... and people were watching and paying attention. I really thought it was a pretty good thing to do.

Wasn't there for the one you mentioned ... might not have been a good time then.

I don't remember the hair whipping video, or the players showing us their dance moves... although I did miss a few minutes at the start & after halftime.

We had something constantly being shown in the first half. Seemed to be fewer ads later in the game. So it got better as the game went on.

I thought it was terrible

We have this massive $6million screen in our endzone, and we have yet to show stat lines on it one time. Instead, we show kiss cams and animated fire trucks. Each in-game replay is actually preceded by a display ad. I understand there is money in advertising, but it is has become annoying. And as a result, our video board is being under utilized as it relates to enhancing the gameday experience. The loudest the crowd got tonight was during the Bulldog Shuffle. So I guess there is that. With two minutes remaining in our football game, our video board was showing a live look in to the MLB WS game. And our sound system sounds terrible.

I think the goal is to front load the ads to make for a better atmosphere later in case of a close game.

I wanna see the power of the pack in action. I hope it still exists....

I hate the jumbotron. If I wanted to watch ads and cheesy videos, I would stay at home and watch TV. Last night the band had a decent song going and the crowd was getting into the game and making some noise, then the tron comes on with some lame song and drowns out the band and the crowd. Burn it to the ground I say! It ruins the game day experience. And why must we try to have all these stupid contests during timeouts? Chicken dance contests? Are we a minor league baseball park or hockey team trying to entertain the crowd. Good lord! College football games used to be fun to go to before you were force fed Toyota and Veranda ads.

It was still awful. There was a time out fairly late in the game, the crowd was actually into the game and getting loud. The band was playing the fight song, and along about "hit that line" the Buzz Killer jumped all ever everything with a damned commercial and totally killed the crowd.

Thanks, Scott. Tear the 17'er down.

I loudly booed the kiss cam that came on immediately after the safety. Watching the ball roll out of the endzone and looking up to see the guys blowing kisses was just too much for me.

Did anybody notice the Texas Farm Bureau ad that came on in the timeout after our first TD and the announcer stumbling when he got to the part about "Texas Farm Bureau is a proud supporter of....Texas."? That was weird.

If we add a buck a ticket, can we kill the ads?

Certainly 50 grand or so wouldn't replace the ad revenue each game.
