I'm not saying we weren't in bad shape personnel wise when he got here, I'm using YOUR logic that you use in other sports.<div>
</div><div>The SEC is the toughest baseball conference in the nation, getting close to .500 gets you in a regional. Outside of one year, going 6-24 in conference play isn't comparable to what the norm was during Polk's last 7 years, which nobody was happy with by the way.</div><div>
</div><div>The program had made a regional in 5 of the last 6 years before Cohen took over, winning 40 games or close to it almost every year except for 08. Won a SEC tourney title and went to a CWS within Polk's last 4 years. At this point, Cohen would probably kill to get to .500 in SEC play, win the SEC tourney title, or even get to a regional in his 3rd OR 4th year at MSU, that's how bad it's gotten</div><div>
</div><div>And although Polk didn't leave it loaded, didn't 6 of his players get drafted the last 2 years not including Routt and Jones who might get drafted this year? That list of draftees also doesn't include guys like Duffy, Sneed, Deloach, or Atkins, who ALL hit better than the guys that are here now and many of whom hit over .330 in conference play at least once in their careers</div><div>
