Stoops said Drew Barker had an MRI on his back. Said the injury has been lingering since Florida. Doesn't want to comment on it past that.

Stoops said Drew Barker is listed No. 1 on the depth chart for a reason.

This is the thought process of our head coach. I now have the utmost confidence.

I think they prepare for Johnson, more athletic and more accurate as of now :uzi:

Commented elsewhere that many coaches won't take away a starter's job because of injury. Does not mean they'd be slow to pull him.

He is handling this how he should. Make USCjr prep for two. How does this not make sense?

^ The offense has been OK in 2 of 3 games...the game it was bad saw the LT go down early in injury and it sounds like our QB1 was playing hurt...cant defend the defense, but I think the offense has been good enough for first year QBs and a new system.

um you prepare for St. Johnson if you are USC... because Drew Barker has shown nothing worth worrying about since the USM first half

whats the worst that could happen preparing for Johnson ?? Barker comes in and throws interceptions? lol

Shouldn't lose your job to an injury.

Read where Snell endorsed Johnson after the game. Sure there's others on the sideline that liked what they saw. Drew will need to do some amazing things in his next outing or the locker room will be divided again

Those back problems really seemed to start flaring up after he threw that terrible interception, but it was good enough to start the game and apparently he's in good enough shape to start this week [eyeroll]

but that high interception he threw is something that would tend to happen if you were having a back problem.

Seriously? You can't figure that out on your own?
If he's trying gamesmanship, he should be less obvious. One sentence he says Barker is hurt and may not play, another sentence later he says he's #1 on depth chart for reasons. See my point?

Have you watched any of the games this year - offense isn't the big problem.

It hasn't helped much either. I don't know how you can say it isn't a big problem, when you only have the ball for 7 minutes of offense in the second half of the SMU game for a whopping 2 first downs. And then another stellar performance where, again, UF damn near doubles up on time of possession, and we gain an outstanding 149 yards off offense, with 65 of that coming on the last drive of the game. 84 yards of offense prior to that??? Cmon...

Watched all of them. The defenses that we've played against are almost as bad as ours. I will assume SC has better players across the board than anyone we've played against this far.
