which is not a win by a long shot but it is a big improvement over where we have been. We have done this with 4 starters injured and playing a very young and inexperienced group of guys.
I know that a lot of those guys are back in some fashion but are not near 100%. Hell, 2 of them had fluid removed from their knees this week.
I know that regardless of what some here post, these guys are fighting to win a the damn game. These are not the pussies that Polk recruited here that didn't want to get dirty. Hell, how many times have we seen CT, who just came back from separating his shoulder dive for a ball with zero regard for re-injuring his shoulder?
I know that baseball is not won in one inning or with one at bat.
We are a semi-decent team. Why some of you expected us to put a national champion caliber team on the field this year is a little baffling to me.
We are a better team and still have some series left. The season is not over. Heck, if you had asked anyone at the start of this season how many we would win at South Carolina, my guess would be that everyone would have said we would get swept.
The abortion of a program that Cohen took over to where we are now is night and day. We have improved. Are we there yet, no. Do I like what I have seen, yes. We are playing hard and in close games, we are competing. If we are willing to stick with it, we are going to get over the hump and start winning these close games.
I agree that Cohen overcoaches in some games and tries to do a little too much when we should just go up there and swing away but I think he has us headed in the right direction.
