I hope they include the chapter of his tenure where he went for it on...

Georgia's 40 and four downs later punted from their 30. That was stellar.

Or when he opted to decline an offside call on the GT 4 yard line to make it 3rd and 1 rather than second and 2 from the 2.

Stuffed on 3rd down. FG blocked on 4th.

Only game I have ever left in the 1st quarter. 17 Croom

I wasn't far behind you. That game was a cluster.

It's the SEC Storied series. It came out about two years ago I believe. It's decent until it gets to the 2008 season. To the untrained viewer, he makes it seem like it was State's fault. He said we weren't talented in 2008 but wouldn't that be his fault for not getting the players? He then blamed Byrne for not having any support within the department but this is SEC football, you get support when you win, especially when it's your 5th year with one fluke winning season.

I remember someone called the Finebaum show and said that croom was stubborn. Finebaum tried to defend him but Finebaum didn't live it. That was just a terrible situation with Croom and LT.

That was the most bizarre sequence of play calls I have ever seen in my life. Hands down.

I remember it vividly and after it went off the air, I also remember thinking that I had never seen someone get so choked up that many times while quoting himself.

I have no idea how that guy was able to continuously pull so much wool over other people's eyes, but words cannot describe just how much I despise that man and it literally has nothing to do with wins and losses.

I hate that the whole era is used as ammo for non-MSU fans as proof that we're not that good and can't be that good. Anyone, literally ANYONE, else could have given us 6 wins some of those years.

I have not often seen such a "great person" revere themselves so much as Croom. But, I take that back. Almost every preacher I have been around reveres themselves just about the same amount as he does... It was never his fault. Always someone else's. He walked in the door making excuses and walked out the same door making excuses.

Completely agree... Was there and it was just about as bad as the Cotton Bowl cluster in terms of how quickly it was over. Well, and 52-0 in Gainesville

Yup... And somehow Mike Henig was able to stay in the game long enough to throw 6 interceptions. He completed 15 passes to our receivers an 6 to LSU defenders... For more yards.
