Thoughts on Shaka Smart? He's basically at home in Marquette but would you like him as our next coach?

Feels like the ship sailed on this one.
Seems these guy's value fluctuate quite a bit too. A couple years ago he was getting crapped on nationally because TX didn't take a jump.
I always thought he was a good HC, was just bad fit in that OAD TX program. You see how @ Marq and VCU his style is more successful with more experienced players that might not fit that NBA asap approach.

Solid coach. I would most definitely have him on the shortlist. It may be hard to pull him now but most definitely should be on the shortlist and contacted. Someone like Smart - young, experienced and energetic with an uptempo style with defense as a staple. A team that is going to get after you defensively.
The right coach should be able to get this thing turned around in short order with the transfer portal.
