I would be surprised if he took it. I could be wrong, but I remember when he was targeted a couple years ago from big schools. He didn't take the checks, but instead said no. Shaka said no, he said he wanted to focus on building a program. Who knows, maybe he is ready to try out another program. He's a great coach.
From where Texas basketball was before Barnes took it, I have a hard time believing that. I am sure he will do very well however.
Texas's basketball facilities blow goats. The Erwin Center is a dump. The last time I went to a game there I couldn't find my section in the upper deck because the entrance to it looked like a dark janitor's closet.
Of course, they are going to tear it down so I can buy them a new med school with my property taxes. Undoubtedly the need to fundraise for a new arena factored into this decision. Need to raise excitement level for program.
