If he's at 408 that means he needs 128 in 29 games to break the record(that is assuming the worst, that we are 1 and done in the SECT and don't make any post season play)....

He needs 4.41 blocks per game to break the record. The last 2 seasons he's averaged 4.6 and 4.7, respectively. I say hello to the eventual NCAA record holder.

From, the Game Notes for tomm.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">INCHING CLOSER TO THE RECORD BOOKS</span>
Senior All-SEC forward Jarvis Varnado continued his climb toward to the top
of two key records against Southeastern Louisiana with eight blocked shots.
As a result, he now has 409 for his career, which leaves him three shy of Shaquille
O'Neal's SEC mark of 412 and 126 shy of the NCAA record of 535 set by
Wojciech Mydra of Louisiana-Monroe (1998-2002). To reach the NCAA mark,
Varnado needs to average 4.2 blocks the next 30 games (29 regular season
games and at least one SEC Tournament outing). He is currrently tied for 19th
all-time with Kevin Roberson (Vermont).
