Name Recognition (Football with the Dooleys')
Smart-Law Degree (also wouldn't have to deal w/agent)
Trememdous knowledge of football (especially love his special teams play)
Southern Coach who knows southern kids
Balanced attack (Good for Tyler Russell and Good for Montrell Conner)
Worked with Saben for a long while (that's all good)
Knock Out Recruiter (just like Stans-if he's on him, he's gonna get him)
Turned an absolute "no support" school into a bowl bound team in the 2nd year.
Superb communications skills (again, see lawyering up ability & training)
Knows the SEC forwards and backwards.

Dear Greg Byrne: HIRE THIS COACH. He epitomizes everything we are looking for!!

I'm SOLD!!

Differences between Bowden and Dooley:

- Bowden has coached in a BCS conference, Dooley has not
- Dooley has a .500 winning % at LA Tech
- Bowden has never had a losing season
- Bowden has an undefeated season at Tulane , TULANE!
- Both have a good last name for recruiting purposes
- One has been a head coach for 2 years , one has been a head coach for 10 years

Probably because someone posted that he is like Saban in a lot of ways. He tends to coach up his players and not let them underachieve like Bowden has done.

even in the face of change and the potential to really get this right. What's with these people?

And please let it be the Memphis news source. It has already been posted once.

.......Dooley name and think it automatically means he'll be a great coach because of the bloodline. And like others have said, if the sheep are high on someone we should stay as far away as possible from them.

come on people, we are probably going to get someone like this whether it be Dooley or not. Whoever it is, give the damn guy a chance, and if it is Dooley, it's probably b/c we got turned down by several others.

I don't want him either and there is no way he is one of our top two or three candidates, or at least I hope not, but I'm not gonna stop supporting the team if it comes down to it. However, I won't get excited at all. I really want to be excited about this hire as does everyone, but we can't write off whoever we hire if it's not the guy everyone wanted. Like I said earlier, if it is a guy like Dooley it's probably because everyone else told us to 17 off.
