Congrats to both! Amazing how both are always in title contention.

I’d like to see the stats since 2000 that both have at least been to a regional final.

Shelby and reidsville will be 1 and 2 next year also.

Since 2000, Reidsville has been to Regional Final 2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008,2009,2011,2013,2016,2017,2018.........

been to state finals.....2002,2003, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2016, 2017, 2018......

state titles.....2002,2003,2007,2008,2009,2016,2018...........................

I'll let the Shelby posters post their glittering stats..............congrats to both teams......................

Two amazing programs - tradition is huge in football. You can also add to this conversation Murphy, which won it's ninth title today in the 1-A ranks. It just seems that schools that have the same name as the town have a better chance to build on tradition.

Classy, my bros. I shoot my lil shots sometime, and no, I’m not a prisoner of the moment, just feeling good, but please believe the respect and acknowledgement of greatness is mutual, no doubt. Congrats and congrats to Stan, individually, on his middle son concluding his great career as a two time state champion.

Damn right! We beat Shelby this year and didn’t win ****. LOL!!

All kidding aside, big time congratulations to Shelby from your local bombdropper. Hell of a turn around this year! Much respect to Reidsville as well. Two very dominant programs!

They should set up a regular season game. The same week Shelby plays Mt Pleasant. I think Reidsville might be able to fill that spot. Would help both teams for playoff preparation.

Plus a lot of schools duck both reidsville and Shelby.
Especially a lot of triad schools.

That's bull...... you know why they like to start in 2000. Pick and choose to pump yourself up. Better place to start would be either '68 (the modern era of football) or '77 when all schools unified under one governing body.

You're bragging about putting a 1A team on your schedule? Try adding a defending 3A state champ to your schedule, or a 3A Western Final team.

nobody bragging....4A schools NW Guilford and W-S Reynolds dropped us because they were tired of getting beat up by a little ole 2A school.,...I tip my hat to Shelby for getting bigger schools to play you....most of the bigger schools in this area are scared to death to play us....not exactly our fault.........................

We watched your game today. Congrats on never giving up. Great coaching.

Anybody else that watched both games knows Shelby would have destroyed you. Subdividing classes is the best thing that's happened to Reidsville. You've won your last 2 championships not having to play the best teams in your OWN classification (Hibriten, South Point, Shelby, Monroe and Huss (when they were 2A)) and you lose to a team who was 1A the year before. You're luckier than you are good.

I dont think this thread was started to compare or say who is the better program, but it always turns into this pissing contest. It was to celebrate both programs amazing acomplishments. Where I come from "game recognize game". Congrats on your 20th.

In football, there are 8 classifications. It's been that way since 2002. You should know that by now. 2-AA schools compare in ADM as much to 3-A as they do to 2-A.

Overall rams played a tougher west bracket than shelby. Yes shelby played hibriten. But that was it. Rest were cupcakes.

True dynasty is an idiot. You play who's adms match with your own. Rams have won both 2a and 2aa. 3a etc. So don't matter. If we have enough students at the school. We will compete with anybody 1a-4a. Don't matter to us.

Whatever. I don’t think anyone would consider Owen, East Rutherford, Heritage, and Brevard murderer’s row, either. Man, you sure do talk out your *** a lot, though.

Overall I do think ours was tougher. But hibriten is better than anyone we played in the playoffs

Yea that's what I mean. But when you playing tough game every game. It takes something out of you. Shelby only needed to play that 1 game. Look at my other post . I said easy blowout win vs ND. Then the pic 6 happened and I was like ok. I'm out haha

We weren’t the number 1 seed this year. Our sos isn’t entirely our fault conference and county teams hurt us. Done teams in the triad duck us also

Brevard in the 4th round? Lol. You’re entitled to your opinion, though. That literally sounded awkward to me from the get go, seriously, them being in the 4th round, period. The 2A East was competitive, but the west was pathetic, in my opinion. Brevard hadn’t sniffed the 4th round in ages.
