Just for clarification, Jefferson Forest has 1500 students and we were still missing 6 starters. The East Surry game we had two starters out but had a full roaster for Thomasville, given that our fastest WR/DB (Carson Newman offer) is out for the rest of the season.
I think that's the difference Shelby lost two really good players and have the depth to cover. Playing at home should help Mt Airy and the first quarter they better come out ready. The defensive line for Mt Airy can help the DB's if they bring pressure. On the other side if Shelby stops Martin may see some pick 6's in this game. Should be a good one and hope to attend. No other Stokes or Surry team playing should be good crowd

Oh, but I have never been invited except when it was up by the tennis court, and I was invited and brought 4 or 5 large pizzas to go with the hot dogs, and then we went to the game, and I shot pictures from the field and made a website with them. I still have those pictures I used on the webpage.

Someone at the tailgate mentioned last year that they thought the reason Buzz/Stud didn't want you to come was he was afraid it would end in a fight and he would "slap the taste out your mouth." That's all I know about it
My comment stands. This will be the best front line defensive unit Shelby will have seen. Friday night will grade this statement.

Well, since you asked. I still remember the guys talking about the 1941 Reidsville at Mt Airy game when the thugs from Mt Airy started a brawl at the end of the game and they had to turn out the lights to stop the fighting amongst the fans and several players and fans were injured.
