I would have been honored, my man. Unfortunately, I have to work Friday, didn’t get that “request off” in time, got to catch the game on the radio. There will be another time, though, no doubt.
Shelbyfan1 is the man, though. He’s very hands on w/ the kids, supports them, motivates them, and even feeds them occasionally. I salute him for that.

Shelbyfan1, you’re obviously a legend in the gym, too. I’ve run into Dupree Dawkins at the Y on some occasions, he’s mentioned your name before, and I work with a man named, Jimmy Barrett, from Grover. He showed me old pictures of himself when he used to workout. He mentioned your name as someone he’s worked out with before. Good stuff, keep it up, man.
Oh yeah LA good guys and thanks for words i love these kids...wish i could do more for them then i do.. I glad after your son graduated u still here to support.. So many after kids leave disappear. And i understand...but glad u still with us bro
I parked at the middle school when y’all played South point and that’s the BEST parking !! Except when I pulled in I said that someone was gonna hit the grey poles and sure enough someone plowed into one and crushed his front end.
Yeah you would think those poles would be a brighter color. Kinda hard to see in the dark if your not paying attention.
There is. It meets the minimum requirements but thats it. They suck everyone knows it. Its just not an easy fix.
If there is a game that’s gonna be worth the drive this is it !! Despite what others have said get to the game early and sit on the home side and enjoy. I’m sure the visitor side is cramped but the the other side is quite cozy. Bring a blanket to sit on the concrete is pretty cold

Is it just me or do the tic prices seem a few bucks higher this year. I just saw that they are gonna be $10 this Friday?
They used to go up a dollar each week. This year it was 8 each game until this week?

I saw video and looks late without hearing whistle who knows but linemen had stopped play.. Hate tgat for kid that got hurt. Also noticed ref was standing right there
I havent heard hate.... that for any kid....i was wondering any feedback on it from either party and wondered myself if kids ok
It was not a late hit, he was flagged for targeting, at least that was the call during the game. I didn't think it was targeting, but I am really not intimate with the High School rules. When a back is running with the ball, he is leading with his helmet, I don't know how they could call targeting on a defender tackling the runner.

The AD at Hibriten posted on Hibritens Facebook page that he spoke with Bandys AD Saturday morning and that the player would be ok.
Yea the kid got kick off early in the year done something stupid he had several punt an interception returns for touchdowns.
Just thought I would check on BRT. I don't post on here very much, but I got home from work today, got my popcorn ready, and was looking forward to reading his thoughts and insights for the week. He seems to have abstained from posting. Maybe he is getting the snow chains ready to sell.
Yup, heckuva receiver, db and kick returner. He had a motor. Good kid that made a mistake, some mistakes can be costly...
He hyper extended both thumbs Saturday morning after the SP game. Has been nursing them back, he will be ready Saturday morning!!!
Reading this thread I can sense the nervous anticipation on both sides, both are a bit cautious posting scores and predictions because we all just dont know what will happen... Both have tons of respect for the other side rightfully so and so far its been refreshing to read without the usual nonsense ...
Saturday morning some of us will wake up with a trip to the state finals looming and some of us are going to be waking up wondering what could have been and preparing for next season.... With that said it should be an absolute barn burner.. I hope its a mistake free hard hitting game that all the fans get their moneys worth watching.. We win friday Ill congratulate the panthers on a great season, we lose friday Ill congratulate the panthers on a great season and wish them luck in the title game
With that said, no one about 8 weeks ago gave us much of a shot to even be in this position, this team has grown by leaps and bounds since that 1-3 start... They are playing pretty good ball.... Ill say this... Get us this year if you can, next year with a season under their belt this offense is going to be scary good....
Best of luck to both but go Golden Lions, its right there in front of you,.. The defending champs are right there,waiting on your arrival..
Have fun gang, great time of year to be a football fan....
