last time Sherando had a D this Stout, was,in 13 when they got trounced in the final against Dinwiddie, but the Salem boys probably remember well with the North final shutout of 7-Zippie. not Saying this D will be as good, but with three seniors at LB, one with over 7 or 8 major college offers , and solid experience on the the D- line this team will be tough to run the ball on. .for real. lots of talent this year and maybe if a few lesser known players step up, they could be a special team. now offense , could be another story, but I think they will score enough points to get them to late in the playoffs , senior QB, very talented TE, SHS always has a solid RB. Nice transfer from TX, to be seen what he adds at WR- slot. All we need is a few O- linemen( which is a big thing) , to bring the offense together. I know I am just throwing this out there, but nobody is talking , so just missing Football. Sherando will be for real this year I think. at least the best in 4A from the Northwest part of the state.

Sounds like Sherando is in a 2 year cycle like Salem may be. Good team, Great team, Good team. Sherando was a great North team in '13, Good in '14, Great in '15? Salem Good team in '13, Great team in '14, Good team in '15? Seems like these 2 may alternate at the top of the North.

Sherando always has a good team . I cannot remember a team that did not have a winning record. Good luck to the Warriors!

Early matchup with Eastern View should be good....EV has a couple good o-linemen with D1 offers, good runners and an all-state QB

Sounds encouraging, Hammy. Personally, I believe defense wins championships. A great defense can overcome a lot of problems created by an ineffective offense, as long as they can score once and awhile somehow.

Dinwiddie made the second round last year on the strength of defense. If the defense was on par with the offense, they would have won maybe five games, and one and done in the playoffs.

So the Warriors need to develope those interior offensive linemen. If they can, it should be Salem, Sherando, round two. That would be nice.

Lil curious about this assertion. I looked around and couldn't find the EV QB on any all state teams. When I read the comment I looked it up because that sounds like a very formidable team. Only thing I could find from what Rod provided pinned at the top of the page is he was 2nd team all conference.

Yes like Salem and some other teams around you will not ever see a bad product on the field, yes we seem to be alternating years as of late. I think this team is going to be real solid, they will need some players to step up. Wide Reciever, and offensive line will need to mature fast. eastern view will definitely be a challenge. I look at game 1. Louisa , and Game 2 Martinsburg as serious measuring sticks as to what lies ahead. Sherando also has a week 8 game with Fort Hill Maryland which will be huge. looking forward to a great year.

Sounds like another good year for the Warriors. I've seen and read about the defensive guys. They sure look like they'll be as you say. That will win a bunch of games.

Louisa could be a challenge but they're off and on. You never know what team will be on the field from week to week. It's been that way for some time. I wouldn't take too much from that game either way. The Lions can make you look bad. They can also make you look like State Champion contenders. Both are more likely delusions than anything else.

I don't know why folks give EV so much respect. They do have some gifted players and they love to sling the ball around. They can be exciting. But just run the ball down their throat. They have NEVER been able to deal with a solid team that does that and RB Kube graduates. I give Stallings credit as a good QB but Kube was most of the offense. The Warriors will have no problem with them.

The OLine is always a concern for any team. Can't get far without them. GL in 2015.

Thanks DP, seems like I'm turning the corner and making some positive progress. I think they are finally getting closer on the balance of my medicine. I think 2-3 more tweaks and I'll be spot on and be able to restart physical therapy. Up until my most recent tweak I would have bet money I'd be in the hospital over restarting physical therapy so things are looking up, Thanks for checking.
