Well he did instantly get one of those Beats Audio commercials where Sherman gets asked what it feels like to be called a thug. So, it may not be too far fetched.
That aired before that even happened. That wasn't the first of Sherman's antics, and certainly not the worst. He's not a thug, but he's been called that for a while now.
Fact is that we're talking about Sherman more than any other CB since Sanders and that was by design.
Just been boiling for him for awhile. He is the best DB and he doesn't get or used to not get enough attention for it. Sometimes you've gotta scream and act like a total idiot before they take you seriously. He's getting more than enough attention now plus he's putting all the pressure on himself and lifting as much as he can from his teammates. It's a brilliant plan. I wouldn't do it but I see why he is. Sherman is very intelligent. Don't be fooled for a second. His twitter has already gone way up in followers and he's all ESPN is talking about. This will end up making him $50+ mill.
I think the moment they found out they'd play the 49ers in the NFC championship he decided to publically taunt Crabtree somehow. You're right, there's no way to predict that play at the end... And Kaepernick might be the dumbest guy in the league trying to beat the Seahawks as time expired with a fade route to a receiver battling Sherman... It was a planned spur of the moment jab.
