University of Michigan officials opened up an investigation into Moore after receiving an anonymous tip about the inappropriate relationship, The Athletic reported.
After initially not finding any evidence, new details came to light over the last 24 hours, which prompted the firing, according to the report.
CBS Sports reported that donors to the program had become aware of the allegations against Moore recently and had started to tighten the purse strings on contributions.------
I'm guessing, just guessing, that the donor squeeze is what prompted the firing at this time. Before that time, nothing to see here folks. Let's not upset the team before The Game.

I am very pleased with Matt Campbell, but it would be disappointing if um landed Kalen DeBoer after their latest in a long string of scandals.

Prollegiate football fortunes can change on a dime and largely swing on $$$, but not just $$$, also the quality of the decisions associated with spending large sums of $$$ (but no doubt $$$ is the primary limiting factor as it is the limiting resource and there is very little room for error in your decisions - Colorado and Indiana being case-studies in how divergent a teams fortunes can go in this brave new world..... Colorado bankrupt, bleeding $$$ and very limited in what they can do going forward..... Indiana the opposite making CFB Playoff both years since bringing on Cignetti. ).

Agreed. Apparently Larry Ellison would contribute to UM to cover DeBoer's buyout...not sure why, he's not a UM alum. I guess the other question is whether DeBoer wants to jump from the frying pan into the fire.

It's this attitude that's part of the problem--she had no obligation to anyone. He was married; not her. The only person that wrecked the marriage was him--if it wasn't her it would have been another woman.
Again, we've all done stupid things in life. She was apparently single--she can date/sleep with/etc anyone she wants that's of legal age and consents. He's the one that was in a relationship. Blaming the woman here is insane. It's typically what housewives do that can't think logically and men that cheat. There's one person that is accountable for Moore cheating on his wife--that's not this girl

It’s been rumored Deboer is unhappy in Bama. I know the rumors had him coming here. I know he denied it but I believe there was some back channel communication with PSU but the real conversations may have been with UM. I think you are right to bring up the question. Bama may not seem so bad vs a near murder/suicide! Let’s say it is Deboer and it happens. The portal season will be chaos in that scenario with dozens of PSU, AL and Um players testing the market.
But that’s where he would go to get a raise and make a deposit.

He had about a 20 second decision on whether or not to pull out. If he pulls out then maybe she doesn't get pregnant and the affair eventually runs its course without anyone being wiser.
