Perfect. Can't wait.Dad had them one time. Pure pain. And he looked like a leper with the Black plague
Already missed out on the 48 hour window. My uncles is a doctor and he said if I would've said something early, they could've gave me something, but missed that opportunity. Will just ride it out.My mother had them about 10 years ago. She's a pretty tough woman, and it about crushed her. If there is anything you can take now that the doctor says will shorten and/or minimize the impact--take it.
Good luck.
I appreciate it.My dad had them late in his life. Really kicked his ***. Best of luck with fighting them.
unilateral dermatomal pattern.
Sorry about your dad.My dad got them at age 73, 3 months later he passed away.
We were pregnant at the time and to be safe he didn't ever touch my wife's belly or anything.
Always regretted that, but we named the child after him so.
Yeah I just turned 30 and I thought that was young to get shingles. Just hoping it is a one time thing and not a recurring thing.I had them about 7 or 8 years ago. I was around 40 and was told that was pretty young for Shingles. Had no idea what it was at first. A really awful burning sensation on my right side front to back. The worst of it was over in a week but it did linger for about a month if I remember correctly. I wouldn't wish that on anyone except those I hate. I'm certainly glad I got it out of the way while still young and easier to overcome.
I don't remember hearing much about Shingles until 10 years ago or so. Seems more pervasive now.
Sorry about your dad.
So you have a daughter named Willy?
I appreciate it. I am 2-3 days into it now. Not necessarily too painful, but more of a nuisance. I can feel it is there and it is annoying AF, but not extremely painful yet. My uncle said it could possibly spread around my side and to the front. I am sure the pain will get worse. I do feel much more fatigued and tired than normal. I guess that is a symptom. My brother got them last year at the age of 40. He's a physician but missed his 48 hour window as well. He's a tough SOB and I've never seen him that hurt by something. He was pretty much out of commission for 2 weeks with crippling pain and has scars all over his torso. Godspeed man wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
This is what i am worried about more so than the pain. I am already starting to feel dead and I'm only 2-3 days in.Shingles can reoccur. Someone I work with has had multiple bouts. For me, the pain in my back felt like a pinched nerve for a few days. The fatigue was the worst part though. That lasted several months.
WTF. **** on a shingle is chipped beef on toast. No corn dog. Corn dog is on a stick & you get it at the state fair.Oh yea I've also eaten something called "**** on a shingle" at a fair. Basically a rally sloppy thrown together corn dog. Pretty good, though. Hard to mess up a corn dog.

Sounds like somebody sold you a corn dog that they just threw up. [sick]this was a fair. And it was a corn dog... a nasty corn dog. Call the 'neck that named it that and complain to him.
I'd rather have shingles than eat that mess.WTF. **** on a shingle is chipped beef on toast.
This is correct, although I thought gravy was on top as well.WTF. **** on a shingle is chipped beef on toast. No corn dog. Corn dog is on a stick & you get it at the state fair.
Smoke some weed.I appreciate it. I am 2-3 days into it now. Not necessarily too painful, but more of a nuisance. I can feel it is there and it is annoying AF, but not extremely painful yet. Oh man, that sounds terrible. Sorry you had to go through all of that at once.I got it when I was about 28. My wife was about 8 months pregnant and I found out my grandfather died. A day or two afterwards I started having excruciating back pain. I ended up with a rash that went from just above my waist and up close to my chest and went from the middle of my stomach and all the way around my right side to my spine.
It was worse than all of my back issues with nerve pain and ruptured discs I've had since then. I couldn't sleep for days. It also sucked that I had to deal with the pain while being a pallbearer a few days later. I basically had to wait for it to go away on it's own since I didn't get it diagnosed in time. I think it took about a week for the pain to go away and a couple of weeks for the rash to heal up.
