(Assuming all is true)
1. Cam Newton being declared ineligible

2. Auburn being publicly declared to being investigated for the gambling/bank/money laundering stuff?

Would they be the same time? Would the Feds need a year? Six months more? One week?

I'm just waiting for CNN to show the Feds swarming Alabama offices with boxes and boxes of files, Enron style.

The conventional wisdom seems to be that Newton's eligibility/ineligibility will be determined by the end of the week. The status of the investigation into the AU program is unknown. The 2 appear to be mutually exclusive.

I continue to maintain that the size and scope and target of all of this has to do with matters that only indirectly affect AU football/recruiting.
