There is this really young team just north of the Spotsy courthouse named Courtland! and what they did tonight on defense was incredible. The puppies started the season crawling and now they are walking at a moderate pace. KG has a real good team, but easy early wins against far lesser competition gets you nothing as the season gets into the more demanding part of the schedule. Coach Hall should run for president!! Way to go young Cougars! Shauntie you would be proud of them young-ins tonight.

Is KG not as strong as people thought then?

I did not expect those Cougars to win but I expected a good game.

Trust the program. I said it from game one. This will be JC Hall's finest year. He has NOTHING and will be more than competitive. They will block. They will tackle. They will be disciplined. If they put the Cheerleaders out there, it would be the same. This is a Coach. This is a Coach.

That is what you call coaching! and getting your kids believing in themselves and the system. KG is a strong team, especially on defense, and can do some damage in the playoffs.

I just don't know about KG in the playoffs. I have seen some film now and I don't see it. I don't think they have a shot against Chancellor. No chance they cover those kids. They most likely drop to #8 if Courtland can beat JM and will have to travel to Dinwiddie. I have no horse in that race just calling it like I see it right now. I don't know if they have injuries and I'm not seeing them at full strength though.

I thought KG was miles better than Courtland on both sides of the ball, after seeing them back to back. Credit to Coach Hall for continuing to right the ship.

Again, a Courtland victory is the unexpected against JM. But hitting Dinwiddie in the first round would just be a a pasteing. I would like to see a KG, Louisa, Lafayette or Chancellor. There could be upset.

But it's Dinwiddie this year folks. Head and shoulders above the rest.

I do think KG is probably a quality team based off everyone elses posts and descriptions. I have not personally seen them at all this year in person or on film. I have seen lots of other posters saying they could make a deep run in the 4A playoffs. The problem is You have to win the games you are expected to win. When you start losing those games, ratteling off a few wins in the playoffs is unlikely. It looks like they might play dinwiddie first now.

KG is what they have always been. Yes, they should have beaten the Cougars but it didn't happen. you must know whose team evals you can believe and whose you cannot. That's about 5%.
