Shooting concern

It's hard to say. Last year's team had a 5 games stretch where they shot less than 33% from 3.

Brea was great last season and was rather high volume from 3. Robinson shot a solid % and was high volume.

Butler and Oweh shot career bests from 3. Butler was terrible for his career and ended up being solid on lowish volume. That could bode well for Lowe. Similar improvement would be a boon.

If you judged on the Georgetown 2nd half you would come to the conclusion that neither Noah, Chandler, or Williams was a good shooter.
I think we all really know that's not the case. We only had four guys available at the 1-3 positions and one of them, Oweh, was coming off an
injury. I think fatigue was a factor in the bad shooting that game and those guys, besides Otega, probably won't play that many minutes again this year. I'm NOT worried about the shooting.

Ravi Moss is broadcaster tonight, he said something about flow. Right now, we are playing so loose, I dont think there is a play or strategy or anything. It's just a total lack of flow. And Nicholls is playing closer game than we should be allowing them.

Although this is the first game of the season, and arguably an easy one....it sure looks like the effort is worse than against Perdue.

Doesn't bode well for FT shooting so far either. Defense and rebounding definitely look to be better, but they sure looked lost vs Georgetown on D as well. Could be a fluke, but it's not like we have a young team that has that excuse. Defense is mostly effort and focus. Too many experienced guys to not have those two things.

Actually, we do have a "young" team with veteran players. With NIL I think you'll have more slow, starts with teams as they learn to play together and understand the coaches scheme.

Yeah, this will help. Hopefully once we devote more time to offense in practice and get everyone healthy, we can start to see some gains in shooting (making) and scoring.
