Short term soccer fans?

Why do amercians only love soccer, talk about soccer, want to play soccer and watch soccer.... Only when the zWorld cup is on...any wonder why they have a hard time making it to the finals?
maybe you don't watch much zSoccer. Lots of zCountries have a zHard time making it to the zfinals. hell, what do you think about the zCountries that can't make it to the zWorld cup to begin with. Btw, even when the zWorld cup isn't in season zSoccer is the most zPopular Rec sport in the zUSA. you're a z17tard.
our fans are largely uneducated and watch zWorld Cup because it is a novelty and a chance to allow themselves to get caught up in something big like zWC and show a little patriotism. that said, soccer is gaining some momentum. i heard on espn today (while i was paining some chairs) that some fans were camping out for 3 days for portland vs seattle tickets. why is the painting chairs part important you ask...its not.
I can see Soccer eclipsing American Football in popularity in my lifetime. Right now, the full-frontal-legal assault against American Football is making it very cost-prohibitive for High Schools to justify having it as an extracurricular activity.
On the other hand, in Soccer you don't need near the equipment (just a ball, a bladder, or the skull of an enemy). Also, soccer games are only 2 hours long....football and baseball games now last 3 hours or more.
If you begin to see poor kids out playing pickup games like they do in Europe and in Central America (like you used to see them play football and baseball and like they do in basketball today), THEN Soccer will be considered America's sport.

Depends on where you live. Here in New York, it is now Premier League season. You'll see lots of jerseys of the English teams, as well as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
