Lee also had a spring practice at MSU under his belt, which Russell won't have.

is widely regarded as the best QB to come out of Mississippi in quite a long time. Two things Lee isn't close to having accomplished. True he wont have a spring to catch up like Lee but something tells me he will be prepared once he gets here this summer.

I would rather ride the learning curve out with Russell than watch Lee attempt the impossible.

But from what I saw last Friday, it just didn't look like Russell was anywhere near ready to step into the SEC. He looked very raw. That #10 ranked HS team flat out dropped 2 or 3 interceptions. I really think he needs a year of working with a good QB coach and he'll be fine. But I do think it will take him a year.</p>

<<<<Russell won't play until the 7th or 8th game of the season, at which point Croom will burn his redshirt while playing against [insert CUSA team here].

Russell will go on to play twenty snaps during his Freshman season, throwing the ball five times. 2 completions, 18 yards>>>>

and then I woke up in a cold sweat and realized Greg Freak'n Byrne is still our AD. Just a nightmare.

he is much better than omar conner, mike henig and wesley carroll. no way russell should play next year unless two people go down. we act like he's the second coming of brock berlin (and we all know how great he turned out). yeah he is the best qb recruit we've had in a long time but he still will be a freshman and is not better than the incumbent.

my hope for next year is we can get to a bowl game. with somewhat decent coaching we could have got there this year. our team will be better next year. we take a step back if russell is heading up the offense in his first year on campus.

that have started in the SEC and there sure aren't many that have played as well as Tyson Lee did this year.

Look at Stafford's freshmen nos.
