Embarrassing, 70% of the conTerence makes the tourney.
Only two teams remain.
They lost a 1,3,6,6,9

Clearly overrated. What conference has the best record in the Tourney? And what’s their style of play? I hereby anoint them the best conference. Whoever it is and whatever the play style.Embarrassing, 70% of the conTerence makes the tourney.

But the Big East champs lost to the 4th ranked BIG team.I give up.Big East is 7-2
Over what period of time? Seems like a 3-5 year trend to me, but I haven't crunched any numbers and don't really care to.Anyone can pick and choose examples to the contrary, which will always occur, but the bottom line is no conference gets more teams in and consistently under-performs than the B1G.
Definitely at least the last 3-5 years but the fact that they haven’t won a championship in 23 years with probably more bids than any other conference while consistently considered to be one of the 3 or 4 strongest, and it’s amplified.Over what period of time? The funny thing is the Big Ten gets more teams in usually because they perform better vs the other conferences during the regular season. They have a better record vs the Big East and the ACC over the past 5 year. For some reason they perform better early and not as strong late. Ultimately it all comes down to talent. I think NIL will help the big ten schools the most. So we’ll see.Anyone can pick and choose examples to the contrary, which will always occur, but the bottom line is no conference gets more teams in and consistently under-performs than the B1G.
I actually stopped being lazy and took a look at recent Final Fours. The league has landed teams in it over the period spanning 2014-19 (Michigan, MSU and Wisconsin). But overall, there have been too many early exits from the league's higher seeds during the past few years. The Purdue thing has stood out like a sore thumb.Definitely at least the last 3-5 years but the fact that they haven’t won a championship in 23 years with probably more bids than any other conference while consistently considered to be one of the 3 or 4 strongest, and it’s amplified.
Shack- you know I agree with you in general. The problem as I see it is thst the "B1G sucks" narrative is so prominent and easy to state right now, that I think it's wishful thinking to assume it won't hurt the # of bids in the following year. If this were a one year anomaly, then fine....but this is a multi year phenomenon that the national media is rallying around. The whole confrence success thing in tournmwnt is way overblown
Once the teams are elected It’s about programs …not leagues…. in the NCAA tournmwnt
B10 underperformance has gotten to the point where there has to be a few variables that are influencing the underperformance. What they exactly are and if anything can be done about it are the big questions. The whole confrence success thing in tournmwnt is way overblown

The team that won the BET is out.Big East is 7-2
20 conference games is too much and it’s a grind . I doubt they move off 20 with the expansion coming . But they really should consider itB10 underperformance has gotten to the point where there has to be a few variables that are influencing the underperformance. One conclusion could be that the computers really only have November and December to use to evaluate conferences as that's when 95-99% of the OOC games happen AND B1G really isn't as good as what BART or KEN may say.
My question is what happens from NOv-DEC to Mid March that makes our teams worse and other teams better.
But does that mean the conference is overrated or weak? You have power more concentred in conference like the ACC or with a team like Gonzaga or Houston. Are they great conferences or just have great teams?Definitely at least the last 3-5 years but the fact that they haven’t won a championship in 23 years with probably more bids than any other conference while consistently considered to be one of the 3 or 4 strongest, and it’s amplified.
I think they'll go UP to 2220 conference games is too much and it’s a grind . I doubt they move off 20 with the expansion coming . But they really should consider it
Agreed it’s not hard. Lots of very good teams but lack of elite teams. The top 12 big teams had very little separation. But does that mean the conference is overrated or weak? Ok, then which League has the best programs . . .The whole confrence success thing in tournmwnt is way overblown

They have great teams. However, with all the chances the B1G has had, it’s truly amazing they haven’t had a championship in 23 years. But does that mean the conference is overrated or weak? Opportunity for RU and Pike to be that elite team. If he brings in the talent we are close to bringing in, we have a real good shot.Agreed it’s not hard. Lots of very good teams but lack of elite teams. The top 12 big teams had very little separation.
The "problem" with that top talent is when it comes to winning NCAA Tournament games if they're truly top talent they're only around for a year, maybe two.Opportunity for RU and Pike to be that elite team. If he brings in the talent we are close to bringing in, we have a real good shot.
