or is this just a political front? Or do we need to gear up for B'ham?

"@stricklinMSU: Speculation that our bowl destination is known is just that ...Speculation. We find out Sun. deadline to preorder tix is today. #HailState'

I've seen several Vandy fans asking for BHam recommendations. Their fansite guys are all saying BHam. Sounds like 90/10 it shakes out:

OM in Nashville
MSU in Memphis
Vandy in BHam

Same story different year. Prognosticating "experts" start bowl predictions in August and still, most don't know till the Sunday after Thanksgiving yet fans hang onto the edge of their seats and read those damn things every week. The ones that do are typically good guesses or conference champs already decided. That said, cbssports.com says us to BBVA/Compass

I prefer the Liberty, but won't get my undies in a wad if it's B'ham. Just glad to be going somewhere. B'ham would be an easy trip for me anyway.

Seems like a sales pitch for people to preorder through the BDC instead of grabbing better Liberty Bowl tickets from elsewhere...

It is done! We are going to Liberty Bowl, Vandy to BH, and the Bears to MC. You better get your Hotel reservations in because there is not much left in downtown Memphis. You can wait on tickets, you just move closer to the endzones....

If it's anything like '07, I think the endzone is a lock.

I believe through the BDC, seating started at the endzone section 124. If you look at stubhub, that's where tickets stop right now. I think you can assume that's where the BDC will pick up again. Do not want. I hate to go around them but that kinda leaves you no choice.

I'm with you. I supported the BDC today and placed my pre-order for tickets. I'm going to be upset if I get screwed with endzone tickets!

Bigger thing for SEC. Should have no association with BBVA.

It's a horrible bowl. No reward for any SEC program, even at 6 - 6.

Legion Field should be a leftover for low level conferences, at best.

Birmingham. Have a stadium in a reasonable, ex. Ghetto locale, then we'll holla. Slive should be ashamed.

Starting next year there is several new bowls for SEC and the selection process is turned over to SEC. BBVA drops out of the major selection process. I don't think that means a SEC team can't go there just a complete new process. I don't know how I feel about SEC selection teams.
