Shouldn't we be able to make Noxubee County our South Panola?

Read where they are now #1 in the state over USP. No reason why we shouldn't lock them down. Technically speaking, we actually have it pretty good as far as proximity to talent. Columbus, Starkville, West Point, Noxubee County, Louisville, Ackerman, Aberdeen, Amory, Houston....those towns have lots of athletes. Compared to Ole Miss who's located near basically Batesville and that's it, in immediate proximity.

Need to help place good coaches in these areas and watch the D1 players emerge. Noxubee didn't used to be worth a ****, then finally good coaches start going there and they're putting out players at an amazing rate. I do think we need to erase the bad taste of the Omarr Conner and Joey Sanders handling by Croom though. I bet that hurt us there for years.

A couple of things here.......No. 1, Nox County does not year in, year out put

out the talent that South Panola does. It's not even close. Number two, Ole Miss does have some towns that are in close proximity to get athletes (Tupelo, Pontotoc, New Albany).

I think it could though. It's taken years for USP to become what it has. Noxubee is forming that type of tradition. They've been building for about a decade now, and they just took over #1. Symbolic of the future. There are athletes out the ying yang in Noxubee County, they just have to be coached and developed.

Tupelo is split MSU/UM and is about an hour from each town. When's the last time Pontotoc or New Albany put out a D1 player.

Dylan Bradley and Robinson, are players. But nobody is that fired up about them. Robinson ran against 9 men in the box and still scored 50 tds against super competition. Bradley is a beast but the Tweener tag has been applied. I don't care if He is 6 foot or 6'4" he can't be blocked.

Same one we applied to Isaac Gross when he was looking around in January last year? Seems pretty dumb now doesn't it?

We need to get past the "prototypical" thought pattern and just load up on kids that can play. We are doing the same thing with Al Crayton, who I believe has over 100 tackles this year as a DT.

I'm wondering if we are going to try to get the Nox County kids to walk on?

Bradley reminds me of Isaac Gross at Ole Miss.....The NG (Hopkins ?) might be

the most impressive player on the team..........6'7" 370lbs............

Tweener tag was applied to Gross only by MSU fans who knew we weren't going to sign him. Gross was a 3 star, #25 rated Dandy Dozen DT with a bunch of offers. He wasn't a diamond in the rough that people passed on.

A few years back we wouldn't sign the Gray kid from Philly. He was only 6'. So the buzzards did and he was pretty good. Then we turn around and sign Love who was also 6'. Although he was also pretty good. If you are a football player , sometimes that is enough.
