Who knew that a coach who came to us from Northern Michigan could bring in this kind of talent?

Amazing that he was able to get up to speed with recruiting and coaching considering he had no previous big time coaching experience. So glad we didn't listen to some on this board who thought we shouldn't have taken him due to his lack of experience...

Wonder what he will do for an encore performance next year.

Yea, did real well for his first full recruiting cycle... glad they didn't fire him after 16 months on the job!! SMH...

Dang good thread @timnsun !!!

I'm not sure people understand how difficult of a (recruiting) job Parrella was tasked with. Hughes did jack sheet for a foundation, forcing Parrella to go blind from the very beginning. He didn't pout, complain or anything - dude rolled up his sleeves and got it done. Ya, losing Porcher sucked but I'm confident JP learned a hard lesson over it and will cover his rear in this next cycle.

Well done coach, and thanks to timnsun for pointing it out!

P.S.
Bruce Read had some scouting/recruiting reports on 2 of the DL guys we landed.

Working at his family members carlot as a sellsman might of helped too.
