Ask Quay, Nick James, Autry, etc.

Ask Ole Miss as well. They benefited (although not as much as they could have) from Oher, Wallace and those guys. Funny enough they didn't get much play after Eli went overall #1 though. May have helped them land Snead I suppose.

Guys have him going in the top 10. Most of the ESPN guys have him a bit further Down at around 15-18.

well when they fired eli's coach 1 year after eli was drafted, they didn't give him much time to lure in another QB. ole miss and msu aren't gonna be the programs that have a stable of 4* and 5* QBs willing to sit the bench and wait their turn like USC or LSU or bama. we might have 1, and then maybe his senior season we can land another, but might take a year or 2 to land another high end QB recruit. </p>

Hahahaha LSU doesn't have a stable of 4* and 5* QBs on their roster. Add one more 3* to our roster and we have identical QB depth. Their recruits over the last couple of seasons include Garrett out of Tupelo and Stephen Rivers, a 3*. I'm not saying they've got a bad depth chart, but they build their teams with athletes at skill positions and run an offense their QB can manage. And they win championships that way.

Alabama, for having such a huge reputation as a defensive team, might have the only QB depth chart you're referring to, in our division at least.

i thought garrett was a 4*, but looking back he was a 3*.<div>
</div><div>but, mettenberger was a 4*. and though they didn't necessarily pan out to be superstars, perrilloux was a 5*. jarrett lee was a 4*. jordan jefferson was a 4*.</div><div>
</div><div>that's probably 2 more 4* and 5* QBs than we've signed in the last 20 years. and that's just lsu's QBs from the last couple years.
