I’m not sure they have many other choices. We’ve got good pitching coaching. And a few good pitchers. But not much depth.I just don’t see what our staff sees im him…
This IS the way.....After seeing Ligons nasty *** change, I'd start him over Siary in a heartbeat!
But still leave him in at least 2 batters and multiple runs too long.Just have the bullpen warming up from first pitch.
Why not just start Stevens? He's pitched well when he's gotten the chance. We've got plenty of arms. Just not enough proven ones. We all know Siary will get killed after an inning or two and Stevens will take over.
Maybe he's more comfortable coming out of the pen?? Not sure, but at some point, he's in rotation if he continues to throw well. I imagine they're just sticking with what worked last week (Lemonis is a slow mover on changes). I won't be surprised to see Dohm this weekend at some point. Why not just start Stevens? He's pitched well when he's gotten the chance.
Should be a cautionary tale about transferring for greener grass. Stephen is an IN guy, went to Purdue and had success, and they are 15-7 in Goff's 5th year. Sometimes a change of scenery isn't necessary.
