I don't get it. Isn't "sic'em" a phrase used to command a trained animal to attack? If so, what's scarey about a trained bear? To me, a trained bear wears a vest and a hat and balances itself on a ball. That's entertaining - but not scarey.

Shouldn't the Baylor folks say "maul'em bears" or "swat their faces bears." That's a little more intimidating. If I'm a salmon, swimming upstream near Baylor's campus, I'm not going to fret when I hear a green-and-gold clad coed yell "sic'em".

TSUN people - you should also seriously look into this. There's nothing scarey about a Rebel Black Bear wearing a vest and hat waiving a rebel "M" flag while scooting around on a big round ball. That's cool for late shows like Conan, but not for college football. On second thought, for TSUN, I think an all encompassing pep-cheer that really rings true for your school would be "Don't Bother Bears" - cause you've never lost a party.

I'm not sure where I was going with this. I'm ready for Friday. GO DAWGS!

My friend who is a Baylor grad has already admitted that all the Texas schools little sayings and hand gestures would get made fun of mercilessly by SEC teams.

all came out of the stands about halfway through the 2nd Q, walked to the endzone where they pulled leather chaps w/ little tassles and silver buckles on them out of boxes. They put them on, stood around and talked during halftime and then put them back in the boxes and went back to the stands. BrokebackMntku
