We all know USC is in a little hot water with the NCAA, so maybe Sidney could not get the benefits other players had gotten in the past by attending USC.
So he comes to MSU, where Stans keeps it all under the table. Story is told that he wants to come back to MSU, but we know the truth...
No way we are not paying someone for this guy... Also is he really 6"10?

I've been thinking the same thing as well. I would find it hard to believe that somebody as high-profile and AAU inbred as Sidney wouldn't have their hand out. Moreso his Dad really based on his "Reebok consultant" title and all-around shadiness. I would tend to think we are feeding that hand to get him and pops in Starkville.

But, then I think about the giant NCAA dick that would be shoved up our collective asses should we get busted paying this kid, or his dad. I don't think the NCAA will smile on repeat repeat offender status - if that even exists. We got put on probation for some mickey mouse ******** last time - I don't want to think about what would happen should it be discovered we were paying somebody with the profile of Sidney.

I like to think that Greg Byrne has enough sense and control over the program that cheating of that magnitude is not and won't happen. I'm sure some/many will call that a naïve viewpoint - but, seems to be the most reasonable one I can come up with.

I've already adopted Sidney. I saw him on Farish St. in the rain and felt sorry for him. Then I called Rick Stansbury- and wow! Who knew a dude who is 6'10" could play hoops.

I've also adopted some Dominicans for Cohen. Picked them up off of Capitol St.

If all of this works out, I'm going to write a book.

Great! While you're up, could you run down to Miami and pick us up some wide receivers? I hear they're on every street corner down there.

and its all being done legally within the framework the ******** that is modern day college basketball. Give it to the AAU and then let them divide it up and disperse it to the family and handlers.

Next time some dude asks me for money to "buy a hamburger", I'm going to get out my stopwatch and ask him to run the 40 yard dash.

this guy may never get to play college hoops because of this AAU stuff...right? he was considering coming back to Miss but he decided to stay in LA and things broke down...

so now it looks like he's going to fall back on choice 3 and come to Starkville... the chance we take is that we give him a scholly then we lose him because of things he did before on his on....not some MSU person with a money bag...

I could be wrong, but I could be right.... I don't know...
