Word is we may hear something concrete as early as tomorrow. Anyone else got a lead on this? Hot dog videos I know. Rumors... not so much. I was all but convinced there was no hope for a decision anytime soon, but this came from someone close to the team. Just seeing if anybody else has heard the same.

Who cares at this point if he's cleared.... We all know the locker room will be a circus when Stans decides to split 20 minutes a game between he and Kodi

I believe it was the NCAA's intent to delay this decision until after we play UCLA. There was going to be NO WAY they were going to allow Sidney to play against the Bruins. My best guess is that they will grant him amateur status while we are on the road trip and he will be available when we play Wright State next Wednesday at home, same as Riek. What a great story that will be on ESPN2 next week for both Riek and Sidney. That is just my guess.

I wouldn't believe it if I had heard it.

It's show and tell time with this Sidney situation. The time for believing rumors is long past.

you obviously don't understand what kind of positive impact he will have on our team in regard to winning games.

That is what I lean on hearing*

It doesn't go from not looking good to reinstated very often...

including those close to the team have a clue what is going on inside the NCAA regarding Sidney. We've already been down this road in weeks past where somebody supposedly had inside info on when he would be cleared. As I said, nobody really has a clue.

cooldog, you better hope he's in better shape than he was in the team scrimmage b/c he couldn't play more than a 3 minute stretch. Honestly I don't see this team making the sweet 16 with or without him

Especially considering the sememster has to be ending right about now, if it's not over already.

The Sidney situation has been so up and down I don't know what to make of it anymore. I will say this: If I was to ever believe any speculation/rumor involving the Mississippi State basketball program, I'd believe it from this guy. The gist of the text message we both received today, "possible good news involving Sidney could hear something as early as tomorrow" So there is potential to hear something, but I'm not holding my breath....

considering all the evidence, a de facto suspension still makes a lot of sense. Obviously the NCAA does whatever the hell they want, but their vague nature doesn't suggest it's done. Why would they waste their own time having to review new **** repeatedly? If his fate was plain and simple, wouldn't all this be over by December? Wouldn't Stans tell him to pack his bags for Europe? Just seems like there's too much stuff that's still on the table from both sides.

I'm not gonna get up on a soap box. That thing was beat to hell before the season tipped off. But there's good reason for a solid decision, one way or another, to be made soon.

if he gets cleared soon, like some are speculating, I think he'll have more than enough motivation to get "in shape". Also, I don't think his skill set is that heavily dependent on being able to run a marathon.

As for not thinking we make the sweet 16 with or without him, I think you could stand a little wool.
