I'm probably about 15 to 20 lbs. overweight. If someone said to me, "I'll give you 1 million dollars and for the next 10 years or so you could potentially make a lot more and be financially secure for the rest of you life, if you lostx amount oflbs." I would do it in a second. That is basically the offer Sid hasand he still won't get in shape. Sad

but I swear every time I see you play, it looks like he's put on another 5-10 pounds. He's going the opposite direction.

He's going to be another poster child for the pampered athlete that never achieves his potential because no one ever told him no before.

That's the problem. He, like many athletes in his circumstance, have been handed everything in life to this point. No one has ever pushed them for fear that he'd pick up and leave, so naturally, if someone tells him he needs to lose 40 pounds to make a lot more money in the draft, he dismisses it and assumes the NBA will bow down to him just as everyone else has.

What does he do next year? Does he come back to State? Does he bolt for a foreign league? Any talk around campus about what his plans are?

Sidney's stat line last night: 3 points 1 rebound

Other than being hyped coming out of high school, name one single thing Sidney has done to justify getting paid to play basketball (in the NBA of course). Sure he has talent but so do about a hundred other guys that are actually in shape and don't continually pound the bottom of the rim on layups or play defense like a Spanish matador.

Any NBA GM that wastes a draft pick on him will be fired within a year.
