Jackson offers to show only the parts of the bank records that aren't incriminating. No way the NCAA will buy off on that.

only bits and pieces of the bank statements. I really don't think he'll end up playing.

But on the off chance he does get cleared and there really is nothing in the bank records, what is Jackson's angle? I mean, is he just purposefully not showing the bank records because he thinks that the NCAA is going too far by making ppl divulge that information. I mean, I think the NCAA is kind of going to far, but I understand that there is little middle ground in the issue

because the ncaa wanted to see how the sidneys accrued their income. i wonder how many cash deposits (or checks from grandpa sidney) they'll see?

my guess is that the incriminating information is that there are no monthly mortgage payments coming out of the account. maybe they could just say "reggie bush paid for our house." his family and usc football certainly seemed to manage.

Jackson can claim "hey, we offered to show them the records but they wouldn't bother." Then the racial claims has more merit...at least in his thinking. Posturing essentially...

He may be saying "if i'll show them to you in my office, then i'll show them to a judge in chambers". Last thing the NCAA wants is a precedent-setting loss in court.

I'll let any actual lawyer weigh in on whether showing the docs to a judge in chambers is something that is legally possible, or just TV BS i picked up from too much law & order.

Jackson's angle could be that theres tax avoidance implications, not ameteurism concerns.</p>
