a 'rumor' out there that elgin has been somewhat of a cancer lately and I dont mean the fight and I dont even mean since the loss of playing time he's had due to sidney coming back.

Some have even said that elgin is not liked very much among the rest of the team.

Now to the extent that is true, I cannot say. I'm not there. But I'll say from an outsiders perspective, the SEQUENCE of events is not a true determiner of the CAUSE of events.

Sidney sure does look like he is the bad guy in this situation and elgin is the guy we all have been rooting for to come back since the injury, but I'm not entirely sure that is the reality of the situation.

I'd expect many would say my reasoning is just induced by wanting the better offensive player to stay if one has to go, but I'd say there would be far more to gain right now for the team if both were thrown off completely.

Have you talked to anybody on the team or any coaches? I doubt it and anybody on here for any length of time knows you simply get your rocks anytime anything bad happens related to MSU basketball.Bailey has been on the edge ever since he saw he could not hold Sidney's jock. It has happened on other teams and probably happened on some of yours although I am not sure Junior High kids fight that much. Our coach has suspended them and he and Scott will make the right decision. I am sure of one thing though, no matter what it is you will be on here giving your expert opinion and criticism.

" Our coach has suspended them "

Our AD suspended them...The Recruiter's hands are tied a great deal and is unable to enforce discipline as need be, and had asked that Sidney stay with the team- good to see Strick step in and do what's needed

No, I want whats best for the future of State basketball- and that is simply not for The Recruiter to continue on as head coach. It's finally become so blatantly obvious everybody is seeing it- why can't you CoastDogLover?

Scott and Stans sat down and discussed it together. It was then decided to suspend them both. Your hatred and jealousy distort the facts. I have talked to both Scott and Stans and I will guarantee this board you haven't. The only thing you desire is Stans to fail. It is obvious and the entire MSU nation knows it. The players know what is going on and I trust them a hell of a lot more than I do a washed up Junior High coach. Therein my friend is the difference in you and me. I guess the next thing you'll conjure up is it is Stans fault Ravern is in a shooting slump. That is the Coach34 and his band of small followers way.

Let me say that kicking off Bailey and not kicking off Sidney is complete baloney and everyone who looks at the situation objectively knows it. </p>

seen that mentioned who started it said it was Elgin. Perhaps THAT might be why Sidney isn't going to be kicked off.

or do we just kick people off when they fight wearing wifebeaters in the stands?
I have no idea who started the fight but there is a huge difference between starting a fight in practice and starting a fight in the stands in public. That is a lot different. I don't know what happened and no one on this board probably knows what happened. But I think that wearing a wife beater in the stands is plenty of grounds for kicking someone off the team. Just like I think that letting your players wear wife beaters in the stands is grounds for getting a coach fired.

Not defending anybody. It was an embarrassment but I can stay away for months and the same diatribe will be going on with you, Coach, and a few others. Must be terrible to be so miserable. And by the way, I will be gone to the Gator Bowl enjoying MSU's success.

This isn't my battle, but whether this is true or not, it looks that way to the outside observer due to the fact that so much has been done to accommodate for Sidney's arrival. The pre-conference schedule shake up, the mid-season exhibition game, all the hype.

Whether there is really any "investment" of the monetary kind in him or not, there is definitely a hype machine investment that's been made by Stans, and he can't give up on that year and a half build up after only a week or so. The way Stans rolled out the red carpet for Sidney, it makes it easy to assume that he'd take it just the short step further to kick off any player that has conflict with his golden goose, whether that's really the way it happened or not.

It's always his fault when we're in a shooting slump. Ravern's slump is due to taking bad shots. Bad shots are being taken because that's what we do. That's what we do, because our coach can not teachthem how to get those shots, especially against a zone. If I had to guess, I'd say we'll be seeing a zone the rest of the season. Yeah Ravern will getout of his slump, but he'll still be taking bad shots.

<div>strick and stansbury can easily spin that as boys will be boys (although there probably won't be any spin), except for the fact that it went down in a public setting--that is why they are suspended, and just move on when SEC play begins---that is probably what is going to happen</div><div>
</div>if anyone is going to be kicked off of the team, it will be for other reasons (i.e. team chemistry........if there is any???)<div>
</div><div>if one of them is a huge a-hole that everyone on the team despises, he may get the boot for this "last straw" kind of action----I think we all initially assumed that to be Renardo, but now it sounds like it may be elgin--remember the tweet that dee pushed out right after it happened?? quickly defended Renardo---no defense of Elgin--maybe Dee and Renardo are tight, but maybe Dee is a barometer for the team as a whole.</div><div>
</div><div>we'll see, but my prediction is that neither are going anywhere</div>

We all feel better that you've talked to both Scott and Stans. Thatphone call should propel us to the Final Four.

Seriously, are you really as insecure as you seem?

One might think it is better to just give opinions and internet ******** than to go to the sources and find out the truth. I guess that upsets you as much as your douchbag friend who thinks he is a basketball expert.I see you are not alone because anybody that didn't see Ravern had many good looks in Hawaii but couldn't throw it in the ocean for whatever reason. I figured you were on the road with your beloved Ky Wildcats or trying to make sure Worldwide Wes is doing his job for Coach Cal. Keep that propane stored up in that trailer in Ky, it probably is real cold up there in the trailer park.
