or well, I don't know.

At one point during before signing day, Cal had something like 13 of the Top 20 recruits in America giving high interest to Memphis. I understand that they made the title game last year and all, but this stuff is unbelievable.

Daddy Sidney messes us over in the same way Mama Hopson did. That's why I'm not counting Renardo until his faxed papers are in hand. Who knows, maybe one day we can find an orphan that's listed in the Top 10 players in the country that can actually make his own decision.

We wouldn't have won 10 games last year without Kodi Augustus
that's funny since we went 10-2 our first 12 games w/o him. not a knock on him b/c he helped us win the SC tourney and he's a really good player. just pointing out how ridiculous and useless your post is.

Sidney, like Hopson, is obviously playing the game. If Calipari wants him, he'll get him, because Calipari plays the game better than most. Stans plays it too, but not as well as Cal.

That's what gets me about basketball recruiting. It's not about being a great salesman or a great recruiter. It's about who you know and what kind of deals you can make.

That's why I have a harder time getting into basketball than the other sports, because it's the most corrupt by a wide margin. You know that most of the teams that are on top are there because of the way they are playing the system, not because they are better coaches or better recruiters. It's just a little bit too tainted for me.

And that goes for my school as well. AK will play the game some at least, which gives us a shot, but it's still one of my least favorite college sports because of the way it's handled.

as of 11:50 this morning. Anybody with access want to give a general synopsis of where things stand at this point.

seriously, I don't see a link anywhere.

Rosebowl still points to him signing per his update around noon.

I think the longer this drags out, the more our chances of getting kicked to the curb increase
agreed.....this has hopson written all over it....there is a reason he hasnt signed with us by now....i think daddy is trying to use his son to get his pockets lined, hell he's done it for the last 4 years, why would now be any different?.

....still things it's going to happen, though. A lot of info about him wanting to come back home. Everybody is just waiting. No guarantee that it's coming today, but most expect today or tomorrow.

I think that's about it.

They already have two bigs in this class (Cousins and Orton) and another D-1 transfer who will be eligible in the fall. If Patterson comes back, there really isn't room for another one.

The only thing that appears to be left on their shopping list is a PG. Wall is at the top of their list and Eric Bledsoe from Birmingnham is the backup plan.

and there is no talk of Sidney. Even the premium threads don't look to have any talk about him. Sure, it's possible Kentucky might get in on him, but MSU is more appealing due to playing time. He will start the 4 for us. If Patterson comes back, Sidney splits playing time. They also have Cousins and Orton committed/signed as well. Eventhough it's Kentucky, it would be a foolish decision.

and go seal the deal.

Do we have a basketball version of Melvin and the Satchels?

Again, it's "recruiting rankings", not "recruiting". You can follow recruiting without buying into a ranking system that's compiled by "experts" with no more knowledge of the sport than the average message board poster.

And as for basketball, I still care about it. It just falls third on my list because it's the most corrupt of the 3 major sports.
