Talking about fans talking trash but seems to be legitimately thanking Stans for the shot.

kinda goes against a lot of what people assumed about his relationship with Stans. Kind of makes me respect him a bit more but I just wish he had worked a bit harder while he was here. I don't know what he plans to do but if he's honestly thinking about going into the draft, I don't think it'll work out for him. I hope it does. I really do as I want to see him succeed in what he does, but he has a long way to go. It's good seeing that he acknowledges that, but all we can do is wait and see.

People forget these are college kids. To those of you who think you're cool by talking crap to him (or anyone else) on twitter you need to look in the mirror and re-evaluate some things in your life.

I just think he is a hot-head, and when things don't go how he would like, he spews it to all of the wrong outlets<div>
</div><div>No one has taught him how to deal with things appropriately... Then, once he has time to sleep on his outburst, I really believe he is genuinely sorry.</div>

Sid is realizing that had he played like he is capable of, Stansbury would most likely still be coaching. Just imagine being him and hearing that press conference today and then most likely coming to this realization he was partly responsible for it.<div>

Good to see he was taking advantage of that college education.

According to someone close to Sid's family, it has not been determined whether or not he's staying or going yet...per Locke tweet.

He wasted opportunity in his life, and burned Stan's gamble on him in the process.

"OMG, I'm sorry."

Not enough, for me.

He's gotten free: tuition, books, room, board, and all the perks of being a Div 1 college athlete. Sorry, glad to see that punk go

Sure, he was asking for it, but really guys don't talk to our players. First off, I'm pretty sure its a violation of some sort. Secondly, don't we have better things to do than talk **** to a clearly troubled kid? Sid obviously has some serious issues.

I'm absolutely floored by some of the things I've seen thrown Sid's way from our fans. I always thought we were a little better than that.

It's downright vitriolic, and even when Sidney was actually playing and working as hard as he could, it continued. I don't see how a fan can justify these kind of attacks on one of our players. I see it as wrong not only factually but morally. As far as hoping he leaves, that is terrible because he is one of the players that can make us competitive next season. The whole thing is a mess, but the fans who throw this **** at Sidney and claim they have no role in creating the mess are wrong. I hate to say it because you'll defend yourselves more vigorously, which will just make it worse. But o well.

of him returning and being a part of the new regime gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I don't feel that way about Moultrie.

when the writer of the apology doesn't mean it and has cried "wolf" 1000 times before, the apology is meaningless.

I just want him gone so we can move forward with rebuilding. His laziness and special treatment is the reason why our team is where it is today.

People can debate that till their blue in the face but common sense and a pragmatic view of human behaviour will tell you that this is true.

I don't really care about what he does to be honest just so long as he is gone from the basketball team. As a person I hope he finishes his degree on his own dime, then works hard toward his chosen profession.
